Re: {Roleplay} Heretics should be allowed to say fuck in an eldritch tongue
I'd say that the dichotomy of restricted and unrestricted antags just isn't enough on MRP. One would hope that people would act more like actual people than on LRP because if you apply a touch of immersion, this issue doesn't seem all that big. If we take a changeling, I'd say that immediate executi...

Re: Wasting points during Nuke Ops = Immediate Kill?
Mechs are not a vital part of the war infrastructure without which everyone's going to die. They are a novelty predicated on both mining and research collabing on achieving them. Eating a minute or two off the research time is not dooming everyone to death, it's just being negligent and as such can ...

Re: Wasting points during Nuke Ops = Immediate Kill?
I don't think that not helping should be punishable by death on warops. I'd say that wasting any amount of resources for non-war efforts on nukies is a good cause for escalation, but not one to sidestep it and just outright kill some bozo for not participating. There's apparently a discussion to be ...

Re: local terrynut upset because fruitmin
Whether it's appropriate to announce an event in ooc kinda depends on what's the event about. Admin-bus stuff where you make everyone an antag, drop around instakill rifles and sm swords? - Prolly worth to announce as it's completely destructive for the round. Purposefully spawning in antags? - Prol...

Re: Disable early map voting
Hard agree with Constellado. My biggest issue with the voting system is that it consistently happens at the beginning of the round and is voted on by the players who may not even be around for the next map. This can result in a lot of fuckery because of pop change and end up with 70+ people on birds...

Re: Savage Security Speedster Sabotaged by Scheming Shotgun scheme
I wonder if the mental effect of seeing 12 pellet hits plays a role in here too, because shotgun logs makes every shell seem like the dude is gunning people with an AA12 full auto. It's just seemingly adding a firing log for every pellet that hit when it should only do it once for when the while cl...

Re: Savage Security Speedster Sabotaged by Scheming Shotgun scheme
How did this result in a perma jobban? By what was said in the appeal, I gathered the preferential use of a shotgun was a gimmick for that round? Which I agree would be a touch too rough if it was overapplied, but going for the bare minimum shots needed to stamcrit and then stopping doesn't sound li...

I suppose my problem with weighted random being added is that it made the troll potential of voting stronger. I fully support the stance that "if map has a 60%+ preference, then nothing else will ever be played" is valid. And I like weigted random for enabling maps with meaningful followin...

I would personnaly hate to see the human authority go. My reason is threefold. Re: Local crackhead yelling at a lizard for eating a moth
Giving people time to improve after giving em a heads up about possibly being axed sounds sensible. It also feels hella weird to not give a person the ability to defend themselves in an appeal, despite the ban being dished out by the headmin team. Headmin reviews are meant for when banning admin can...

Re: Roboticists and AI making pt. 2
I would personally so love AI making being toned down. Seeing AI cores being made in robo without anyone's knowledge is one of the most discouraging things a main AI can encounter in my experience. For one, multiple AI rounds can be fun if made with a gimmick, but if the only reason for making AIs i...

Re: Local pie writes a bad AI law
Agreed that Asimov can be interpreted as quite vicious, but it's also got it's own chapter in the silipol regulating it. If you were to slap a law on top of asimov, saying "revs are not human kill em." that would be chill. It would be quite ineffective cause AI has trouble discerning who i...

Oh yeah doubleposting because fuck it. Reading "AI should follow rule 1" as "AI should always follow escalation" is bullshit, cause every time you get a law 2 order to go and kill a non-human, this order would be negated by you having to follow escalation. A okay reformulation of...

Re: Local pie writes a bad AI law
I would like to approach this a tad differently. Firstly by admitting that - asimov, custom lawsets and purge are not created equal. Asimov is highly regulated mostly cause it's the default lawset and we would generally like AI to be somewhat consistent on "the usual round". This is why as...

I feel like the note is poorly structured. The way it reads is that the ban was for not contributing, cause that's how the note starts off. Framing it as "was Ock ICking after not contributing" would make more sense than "Was not contributing, which led to Ock Icking". For why pe...
