Hi there! I'm Rex9001, and I've been playing this game for a few years at this point. My reason for running is simply that I really just love this community and the ss13 community in general and I wanna see how I can improve it.
What have I done?
My list of accomplishments isn't very long but I got admin which was pretty neat, ran some events, made some maps and my most recent addition was coding+spriting the path of moon for heretic over several months and getting everyone to comment "2 many paffs!!!".
What do I enjoy in this game?
I fucking love when stuff spirals into sheer chaos. Some of my favorite rounds ever start with something as harmless as the captain not wanting to wear pants and end in a bloody and hard fought battle over centcom for the right to not bear jeans. The amount of fun gameplay and roleplay I've had from shit going sideways is uncountable.
Favorite role?
If I had to pick I'd say AI, it's like watching an ant colony whilst you open doors and do other menial tasks. You are at the front lines of reporting when dumbshit goes down and you have the best seats in the theater for when stuff spirals out of your control.
Some fun facts:
My pfp is from hearthstone and not world of warcraft despite common belief.
All the moon heretic sprites except for one are made by me, same with the music which might explain their quality.
My favorite soda is pepsi max mango or Trocadero, they both slap despite what anyone else says.
My favorite cider is Rekorderlig skogsbär.

Push for clarity, announce new rule changes in a dedicated channel on the discord. Maintain announcement of large rule rewrites in newsbus, I've loved that about this term and I'd like to continue it. I'd wanna clean up some precedents, though this term has done a good job of that I still think some of it is a tad too wordy. On the admin side of things, try to wikify some more stuff from the admin forums just so its easier for newer admins to see what we recommend on the conduct side and other helpful guides.
example:
Appeals, push for some level of early response from the headmin team (like we currently have with tickets) just a quick little "Hey, we are looking into this." or similar. I'd also like this for admins, telling them something like "we are looking into your appeal" and for them not to worry.
Tickets, try to encourage ahelping stuff some more. A lot of grief can fly under the radar because people are afraid to ahelp! I'd like to curb this by telling players more of the outcome (ex: "I've told them to tone it down") and trying to end tickets off on a positive note, just like a "thanks for ahelping!" or similar.
Admin mental health, this is more on the administrative side but I've heard a common sentiment among retired admins that they quit due to feeling like they "felt useless" and I feel like this is something we could move to stop through just checking in with people, A simple greeting in asay when someone logs in goes along way to just make sure someone feels valued. When it comes to stuff like feeling useless if you don't admin I think we can accomplish this by having a thread/wiki where older admins can share some mental health wisdom in regards to adminning.
MRP and LRP, don't drive a wedge. I wanna discourage dividing these two servers even more especially within the administrative team. Both LRP and MRP can learn stuff from each other and we are stronger united than apart. Though they provide different experiences and I still very much want to keep them separated rules wise, I do not wish to further encourage or foster animosity between the two. Banter is fine up to a point but we should not be harassing a player because they have an "MRP" or "LRP" playstyle.

rule 0: Roleplay is king, and admins can disregard other rules to this end should it prove beneficial for the experience of the shift. Admins are also allowed to intervene in rounds when it is in the best interest of the playerbase.
I think this can go down to
Admins can disregard other rules and interfere should it prove beneficial for the experience of the shift.
From rule 7 I think the "Baiting people into situations where you can report them to admins will be dealt with harshly." could just be moved to a rule 1 precedent.
"Spamming any channel is not allowed unless granted explicit permission from an admin as part of a gimmick." could be condensed into "Do not spam any channel OOC or IC without permission from an admin"

Events, they can be really fun and I'd like players to get in more on the fun. I'd like to create a space on the discord for them (not the events workshop as that is for larger events) instead something akin to either player-dev or help-tickets depending on if players want their event plans to be more public or secretive. I'd collect feedback on this before coming to a decision. Also I'd like to award players who try to run these kinds of events with a positive note and maybe a minor token (ex: Hat Token).
Cross-server cooperation, shamelessly stolen from last year. I'd like to reach out to other servers and see if we can't exchange admins for an event. I'd like to try to diminish hate between servers and I think this is a good idea for it, we aren't so different after all.
Config schmomfig, I'd like to maybe mess around a bit and see what I can change. Lower pop cap on birdshot to 0-40 players would be a main one. Raising dynamic injectors would also be good I think so that dynamic doesnt just stop spawning stuff.
I'd like to host some TG gaming nights, that might be some fun.

For you who dislike long posts (I fuggin get it) here is the simple stuff:
- Be available on the discord
- Player run events are dope
- Run events with admins from other servers
- Rule channel on the discord for new rules
- Encourage ahelping grief
- Admin mental health
- Mrp n lrp are cool
