Re: Does War Ops abridge the rules and roleplaying?

End of the day if it's war ops and Captain says only security can have guns, it's an IC issue and everyone that isn't security can suck one. You aren't entitled to anything. You didn't pick the role. You chose to do something else, stay that way, do your job, suffer well. To that I would ICly break...

Re: Does War Ops abridge the rules and roleplaying?

Yeah well muse all you like about what if. There's nothing wrong with roleplaying and enforcing job roles. It's the idea of losing that angers so many people. They don't want to lose because they can't accept incompetence that they can solve. It's natural to the mindset of tg players which is why so...

Re: Does War Ops abridge the rules and roleplaying?

go to cargo for guns stop stealing my limited supply. warops is special case, but I fully understand letting people in. I wouldn't withhold guns, but I would try to enforce some form of roleplay where civilians were evacuated to bar/medbay/brig/library shelters out of the way and conscripted volunt...

Re: Does War Ops abridge the rules and roleplaying?

If you want to be an action hero then play sec. I think I should address this. There was a unofficial IC rule some of the old veteran sec players enforce. The rule was called "stolen honour" (named after stolen valour) where anyone that wasn't sec and had weapons or other illegally gotten...

Re: Does War Ops abridge the rules and roleplaying?

Besides sec already gets first dibs on the armory by virtue of having brig access and only needing the Warden/Hos/Captain/AI/Borg to open the shutters for them No. We don't Shaps. We need to get to the brig then we can get armed, whilst hordes of assistants with all access and a tunnel vision for t...

Re: Does War Ops abridge the rules and roleplaying?

Usual happens, rabble forms in front of brig, demanding weapons to get their valids on. "Validkilling is bad" type of phrases might be meaningful in situations when an antagonist is just doing their own thing without affecting the round much, it is not really relevant in a situation when ...

Re: Does War Ops abridge the rules and roleplaying?

All IC issues. As they've mentioned, these are player issues. These issues rarely persist with more organised and experienced players whose playstyles and mindsets work well together. Player mindset and playstyle changes over time usually relating to a gimmick, which can be flavours of the month. If...

Re: Does War Ops abridge the rules and roleplaying?

From my old handbook when I was killing it with Repukan, Beesting, Nilons, and the rest of the sec crew; Recall all officers in warops. Sec gets dibs on weapons. Lockdown the brig and tell the masses to go to cargo. Hand out spare vests, helmets, lasers to the masses. Hide the sec hardsuits. Order l...

Re: Amendment to Ban Appeal Policy

Alright, fair enough. I've misread it. Has anyone factored in a common human error; memory. It would not be ideal for people to be banned for mistakes and gaps in their memory. Memories can be misinterpreted and there's a benefit of the doubt of someone forgetting or having false memories of events....

Except it was uncovered that the Hippie thing wasn't a lie and I'll dig through my puush for it if you'd like. Let's not get off topic here, if something was found it should have been stated. The ban was because I was "impatient and didn't wait to appeal a ban I felt unjust". if that wasn'...

god damn I'm involved in both. Here's a great example that stirred incident in my past. That... doesn't seem to have anything to do with the topic at hand? Re: Amendment to Ban Appeal Policy

I'm aware. But your statement is simply not the truth. In regards that in this case, this was a ban that was successfully appealed . Except that it wasn't. The successful appeal was - on the spot - increased to a permaban, that was also rule 0, which also required a 2 headmin majority vote. This was...

Yes. Mind over matter. I realised this when I could lift more and more but with minimal of not any chances to mass or weight. If your brain was in my body, you could not lift the weight I can.
