Re: SS13 on Linux

So far everything is working fine, a few of the old Linux bugs are gone (distorted gui windows(mainly sleepers and gas pumps)) and some buttons look better that before.

However, I just opened the power monitoring console and deamseeker died with an out of memory exception.

Re: SS13 on Linux

we unbroke old ie support for now Nice, I can play again without rebooting into Windows. On a side note: I'm still not able to use the power monitoring console (eternally stuck in loading and eventually freezes). Can i expect a fix for that anytime soon or is this an unfixable problem due to the si...

Re: SS13 on Linux

I just noticed, that there was a Linux compatible server up again (byond://linuxtest.game.tgstation13.org:9337). I tested it a bit and found that no frills was available once again, allowing me play the game without problem on a Linux machine. Is this server running old code, or was no frills mode r...

Is winetricks still necessary?
I'm not sure, but think I used it to install .NET framework

That's just not true. I played SS13 on Linux for months and the only problems were crew monitors and the power monitoring console. Things I heard Windows users also had problems with.

Then we need a legacy mode not using TGUI as replacement the "no frills" that was used by IE8 users until recently.

Re: Our UI situation

I would prefer something not requiring IE support as I want to continue playing SS13 on Linux.

If we must use TGUI, it would be really nice if there was a legacy mode for users that cannot provide IE11.

Re: SS13 on Linux

Since /tg/station13 now requires IE11 you can't run it on wine either, leaving a Windows VM or dual-booting as your only choices. Oh god why? I had SS13 running through wine for some months now. Sure it was not perfect, but i could play the game in "no frills" mode without problems. Its r...

Re: What the fuck happened to hunger?

I discussed the hunger/cook problem with a few people in the minor feedback thread a while ago. The results of out discussion were that: So we agree that the cook/cooking needs to be buffed. The question right now is if we want do it with negative reinforcement (buff hunger) or with positive reinfor...

So we agree that the cook/cooking needs to be buffed. The question right now is if we want do it with negative reinforcement (buff hunger) or with positive reinforcement (buff the foods effects). While buffing hunger is easily done it may provoke backslash from users. Buffing food items made by the ...

Re: Minor Feedback

Hmm. This makes sense. Nevertheless, it just proves that the cook is currently not very useful.

I have had very much fun playing cook and I feel this job should get be really necessary for longer rounds. It would be a waste to let such a creative job be so unappreciated by the game.

Re: Minor Feedback

Lets talk about food. I think the speed in which hunger progresses is far too slow. Today I was a cook in a 2 hour game with some 50 people on the shift and there were under 10 food items eaten over the course of the whole shift. If cooks should remain useful members of the crew, more has to be eate...
