Unfortunately, no.

Code: Select all

/obj/item/projectile/energy/disabler
name = "disabler beam"
icon_state = "omnilaser"
damage = 34
damage_type = STAMINA
var/range = 7
Spoiler:
What does a disabler fire, anyways? A wave of radiation?

Re: Little things you learned that are game changing

Finally remembered what it was. Disablers are mostly terrible. They deal 34 holodamage, take three hits to do anything more than slowdown, and can be reflected. However, they paralyze hulks, so they can safely be dehulked, they knock out wizards, so they can't cast anything, and if someone has been ...

/tg/ for storytime, .pdf's, screencaps, and that one gobbo-loli quest. /vg/ for /domg/, and occasionally, roguelike general. I went to /fit/ a grand total of one time, during which I grabbed the links from the sticky-thread they have, and left, because all of the sweaty, nearly nude men made me unco...

Re: Little things you learned that are game changing

The Bartender's damp rag can be used to smother people. Better yet, you can soak it with any chemical, and it will transfer it into the guy you're smothering. Any chemical. Neurotoxin for twenty seconds of stun that you can't shake someone up from, Plasma for massive toxin damage, Carpotoxin for old...

Re: OFFICIAL SERVER IS DOWN THREAD: RETURN OF THE CRASH

This may just be me but it looks like the servers are down. All of them. There's nothing in this thread about it, though. Did I miss an announcement about an update/servermerging/hardware malfunction? They have a temporary server, so I'm assuming that I've missed an announcement. EDIT: I did someho...

Re: Ghetto Parapens & Silencing chems

You can already smother people with the Bartender's damp rag, and put chemicals on said rag. If smothering and choking made it impossible to speak, and you had some sleep toxin, chloral hydrate, beepsky smash, neurotoxin, even some carpotoxin, a silent kill would become much easier. The thing is, if...

Re: Crossbowman5

I've never seen him post anywhere but the thread where everyone complains that the server is gone, never seen him admin, never seen him make a pull request on github, and I've never seen him play. He is the guy that helps SoS keep the servers running, though, so while he's apparently backed away fro...

Re: Alternative Power Sources

Couldn't you conceivably just stick a couple of the radiation collectors into the room that the Gravity Generator is in? Or around it? That's an alternative power source.

Re: Money! Currency! KA-CHING

All right, mercs are out, noted. How would you suggest integrating money with Sec? Rentable off station holding cells? They get money for doing their job. Security Officer's get dosh by brigging people: when a timed sentence is set, it pops up a window in which the arresting officer inputs the reas...

You know, you can shift-click it, and the description it gives will tell you that it's just a toy.

Also, real facehuggers knock you out, toys don't.

Re: Hand of God : A spin-off of Cult

Well, if the forge creates "unique" items, in that there can exist only one per game, then would a sarcophagus, which would require gold and wood, and would revive whatever corpse was placed in it instantly, and loyal to the cult, regardless of their previous affiliation, at the cost of so...

A pretty cool guy.

I haven't interacted with him, much, but the few times I have, he was very calm, very effective, and very fun. Deserves his adminship.
Spoiler:
He's a good player, too. True Asimov, doesn't care much about what traitors do, so long as they haven't hurt anyone, nor intend to.

(snip)...But it doesn't introduce anything 'new'. All those things are already possible, just with more hassle. While I understand your point, a traitor item not adding anything "new", and doing things that are still possible with normal items, but more easily, hasn't been enough to keep ...

Don't forget that Disablers require around 5 hits to knock a target down, but have 20 round's in reserve. /obj/item/projectile/energy/disabler name = "disabler beam" icon_state = "omnilaser" damage = 34 damage_type = STAMINA var/range = 7 It requires three hits, actually, but I ...
