Re: Increased accuracy when targeting self

Nervousness makes you miss the intended limb.

Would you be able to cut yourself without trembling?
I'd probably tremble, yeah. But I wouldn't be dicing my foot when I'm aiming for my hand.

It's just a pet peeve that I'd like to see fixed.

Increased accuracy when targeting self

Just seems silly that you often miss the targeted area on your own body. Trying to hack off my hand with a butcher's knife and instead I go into crit from hitting my body all over. Might be considered a bug, given that it's probably not intentional, but I'm not sure, so I posted here.

The chemist had better be able to make steroids.
And protein powder to make the buff last longer and make the gains come easy

The path to endless gains awaits us.

Re: baby-steps commercial economy - no free refills

Every server with commerce system is shit, and the system is underused or not used at all. It will be a FOTM and then fall into obscurity and/or become tedious hassle. Give it up Merchants. It's a damn shame, given that it's a game about corporate espionage and greed, but money means nothing gamepl...

Re: Fixing the lack of depth: Medical

I'm wary of any medical overhaul that wants to just shove surgery in more things on account of how clunky and tedious surgery is to actually do. Artificially extending how much time each patient takes to treat isn't the best way to add more depth While I'm all up for a more in-depth medical system,...

Re: Minor Suggestions

When targeting yourself, your attacks should be more accurate. If I'm trying to swing a butchers knife at my own hand, I shouldn't be hitting my head on accident. Trying to lob off my own hand, but I end up going into crit from accidentally hitting myself all over in the process.

Re: Addressing the stun meta

I don't think the stun meta will ever go away, It's what SS13 is about at this point and the only realistic choice is to balance it ... What if taser stun duration was decided by the distance between the source and the affected dude? Yeah I agree. Diminishing stun time based on distance. I did do t...

Re: Addressing the stun meta

There's been four theads over a span of several years, according to the topic search. That's not much, considering how much people gripe about it. I also wouldn't expect a complete rework of stuns into stamina depletion, because it's not really required. The only thing I'm asking is that they not en...

Addressing the stun meta

So here you are. Fully decked out in combat gear. A pulse rifle, hardsuit, combat jumpsuit, all of it. You feel like you can take on anything. Except a naked guy with cable cuffs and a taser just one-shotted you. The fight is over and you're done. Not 5 SMG rounds, not 4 stetchkin bullets, not 3 las...

I know this post has already been addressed, but I still find this funny. All these posts about "Just have it upgraded." Don't you just love it when people post workarounds, rather than encouraging fixes and features?

No thanks.
The only reason I said leave Z was because it's a habit for people and they'd be mad if it was changed. C is easier to press though.

Add C as a hotkey for "Activate held object"

As a common codebase player who tried out Goon, the controls seemed wonky as hell at first. But if there's anything I immediately liked, it was that C was a much easier key to activate held objects than Z, in my opinion. Not saying to get rid of Z to activate objects, as that would just piss people ...

Re: Chemicompiler in /tg/

Porting the chemicompiler would be a huge waste of time but Goon has a slightly different thing that people actually used. You'd type out the name of the chems you wanted dispensed separated by a ; and it would spit it all out at once. Made chemistry tacticool if you went through the trouble of mak...

Re: Steal Goon Combat

As someone who plays on both goon and tg regularly, I just wanted to make it known that a lot of this has to do with weapon damages. In my experience, and from what I've seen in damage values, items on goon are weaker than their tg counterparts. That, combined with goons health system, means you can...
