Re: Remove disarm

RNG is what makes disarm an interesting mechanic. It makes mobs of players more dangerous than lone individuals, it gives ranged weapons a strong advantage, and it's not so predictable that melee weapons are useless.

Off-topic and unnecessary arguing: Irrelevant. Liquid and solid states of plasma don't really matter while we're talking about atmospheric gases. Ah, I see. once a gas is out in the air, there's no way to keep it from spreading - making any practical use of it impossible. Even plasma has no uses, other than making bombs. It's also a grief gas, but it's around because you can actually use it as antag, and it's well-established enough as a grief gas that...

There are other things that fit thematically with freon but probably aren't as sensible to add. Cooling oxygen is a classic part of bomb making, but doesn't involve freon. Out of the external threat modes, we have nuke, blob, and wizard.

Blob and wizard have clear elements that players find frustrating. I don't see the need to go into detail here.

The 40k server's "roll the dice" system seems to do well for them.

Pedantic, but the detective is defined by *two* objects: the scanner and the revolver.
