sybil's lack of admins seems like a way more pressing problem and replacing the admin candidate system with one that will allow candidates from servers other than manuel will probably solve a lot of the issues.

the metadata got overwritten with a blank file when the servers ran out of disk so although the paintings still exist the record of who made them is gone and there was a glitch with the backups which means they cannot be recovered.
