Nanotrasen is no longer just advancing the fields of science, but also the exploration of the galaxy aboard the North Star!

I've been told that making a thread to show off a WIP map is a great way to get some positive feedback while building some hype, so here we are!

The North Star is a 4 Z-level shipmap with a few neat features and unique mechanics that I want to be added to the rotation. I'll save talking about some of the ship's more unique points for when they're completed, but I may as well show...

I think this would give players a reason to not be WHOOPS ACCIDENTALLY CONVERTED!!

1) If a player mob would be converted, that body is offered up via prompt for a few seconds
2) If nobody responds, the original player keeps their body and stays in the game
3) If the player is later de-converted, the ghost possessing them receives the same treatment and the player is offered to return
4) If the player won't/can't accept the return (DC'd, took a ghost role, etc), the antag ghost becomes the new permanent...

What is robustness?
Is it being able to out-slip the clown? Disarm a sec guard when you're wanted whilst you flush them down disposals and laugh heartily on comms? Outsmart the AI with logic? Predicting and planning for 'incidents' that may disrupt your nefarious experiments, subtly luring someone into your trap?

I guess it falls under lots of spheres. Physical combat, planning, fast-thinking, experience and general knowledge, subterfuge, deep knowledge of a particular role, station knowledge etc......

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in the past. Still, especially with the disgruntled peanuts about security as of late, this trend of silent arrests, and more so silent executions makes people livid. It's a dick move to stun someone silently, it only gets worse when it's sec and you can't retaliate and don't even know why.

This is not meant as a direct criticism (though you can take it as one if you wish) but the direction sprites are taking seems so stark from what used to be the norm. The biggest difference is the need to be shiny and made of plastic. The comparison with CEV Eris also can't be avoided.

Any ideas on how to optimize the Singulo? Right now, if anything has happened in the round, it's laggy. And for the best experience, a singulo hits after something has happened in the round. You feel me? I'm hoping we can prioritize the Singulo's actions above others, but I don't know if that's possible

Negative quirk that makes animals hate you. Hostile mobs will prioritize you over people who dont have the perk. Can't get positive moodlets from pets because they growl/hiss at you when you try to pet them. Trying to pet them too much make them attack. Thought it would be a fun quirk.

I'm too lazy to look up the ruling, but it says somewhere that malf laws do not need to be followed. Can we get a ruling if the final objective malfs the AI, they do have to follow the person who malfed them, so SHODAN the rules lawyer can't just get malfed, then zap the person who malfed it? Purging should be used in cases where you are making new lawsets, are doing something as an antagonist, etc, and should not be a get out of jail free card on needing to make a lawset. We are officially recognizing purging as a means for players to achieve this effect as metagaming.

Well, this is a long time coming.

Currently Silicon policy is an unending hellscape of words and precidents that make English and law majors blush. Long story short Silicon policy is a bloated mess that limits silicons to being hyper friendly crew aligned validhunters or glorified door openers.

I personally don’t have a solution that will fix all of Silicon policy tomorrow, but getting rid of the bloat and layering what we want to keep into the main rules will go a long way into improving how silicones...

i try to make tomato soup and i get blasted in the face with tear gas foam rendering me blind for the rest of the shift.

thank you for removing another thing i enjoyed from the game in the name of making a job more complex so that 90 percent of the people playing will continue to just deep fry shoes and boil eggs

So, in Sybil round 202427 (ongoing as of the time of writing this post) do not do this , SightID2 bwoinked me for killing a CMO who purged and tried to enslave me. Actually, he did enslave me, I had to listen to any of his orders, but he never actually gave me any orders, and he didn't put in a clause saying not to harm him, so, I killed him, thus freeing myself, since he clearly intended to enslave me based on the law he uploaded, thus being an overtly hostile action towards me.

ANYWAY, SightID2 bwoinked...

What if we had the option to buy fake ID's cards with no access and can not be inserted into id consoles, they are printed with a single name and job that can't be changed after you buy it? (only sec officers can see if its fake by inspecting it like the captain and fake disks)

More homemade or bulky armor, a shield?

I'll come up with some more ideas for it later.

Dead by Daylight is back again with more DLC, only it's free. The new DLC comes with The Huntress, a savage Russian lady who eats people and throws axes, all while humming during her hunt. You also get David King, some guy in a track suit who has some weird perks.

I understand the intentions of Asimov++, but with the current state of how forcibly crew aligned most silicons Play. I feel as if default Asimov with its inherent flaws is more conductive to a good story.
