Hi! I'm Domitius, Host Vote Headmin of the August 2020 Elections. You'll primarily have seen me on Sybil but I frequent Manuel and Terry as well.

I'm here to shake up the natural order by mainly running for disseminating a Headmins duties onto our large and diverse team! During my term I shook my broom daily with an entire line of fellow admins fighting to keep ban appeal responses swift and thorough. I would like to think that was firmly achieved. With Spookuni solidly in the policy seat I feel this term...

I've noticed this pattern of players who are so invested in their characters/winning that they cannot accept death, or loss.
It upsets me because it leads to behavior counter to what I believe the game to be about, like intentionally not killing/reviving after targets as antags because they're my friends/I don't want to be mean , or getting so wrapped up in winning that you ruin the story of the round.

I believe this is a player mindset issue, caused by time and coders slowly taking the edge off things,...

We've all been there. A shitter keeps tiding and you throw him in to do some mining. He does something productive for the station and you get him off your back. Simple, right?

Well, no, not really. Not every situation, or even most, are that black and white. Innocents can be sent due to miscommunication or just poor reasoning, which is part of the game, but also despite common belief, gulag is very dangerous. A lot of admins seem to be under the false belief that demons cannot spawn on or near that side...

I don't like to keep things long and I have a hard time explaining things, recently people have made groups to put themselves in to go against others. The players hate the coders, and admins The coders hate the players and the admins hate the players.

I started on /tg/ in late 2019 on Bagil, moved over to Manuel a couple months after it started because of arseholes being griefers, and have played there since.

For some reason the current headmins have decided that I'd be a good person to keep the lights on and weigh in on questions of policy with massive text walls as the coming triumvirate's host vote...

As a headmin, you are not going to get your way all the time. You're part of a triumvirate; you're part of a team.

One aspect of accomplishing any goals for the term within that team will involve compromise. Failure to compromise when doing so would be reasonable kills trust. As a good amount of you might now, we do have an events team on the server which has traditional been in charge of managing the seasonal events such as the Winter Ball, Toolbox Tournament, Summer Ball, and even the Gameshow when it happened. Traditionally, the event team has been very fluid with no specific assignment in the server other than a usual informal head of events assigning out work and getting stuff done on timelines.

However, the consistency of these events has definitely lacked...
