currently we have an issue report up on the repo where people are IDing paradox clones by demanding they confirm their bank account ID and then killing them if they can't

this is blatant metagaming by abusing an oversight with how paradox clones copy the target, but admins aren't acting on it and players have had to ask the coders to fix it

we all agreed that changeling MMI testing is bad and an exploit, so why can't we just blanket ban antag testing via shitty exploits/oversights like this?

just fix...

The new chat fancy tgui say has too much latency. It does not receive input before it initialises, giving room for input to be missed between when the say verb gets used and when it appears. This has caused an abnormally large amount of typos on the first word where I miss the first character, or even multiple if the lag is particularly bad. It's frustrating that the lag for the say box to appear is visible.

Hi all,

We are considering the possibility of creating a guide to add to the ban appeals forum about headmin reviews.

When its best to request them?
When not to request them?
Why to request them?
How to best request them?
Terminology like upheld, overturned, did not review.
Etc.

Every term is going to be different and we are fancying the idea of creating something that will last and serve as a guideline people can use. Clearly not every thread is going to need a headmin review or headmins weighing in...

What if we had the option to buy fake ID's cards with no access and can not be inserted into id consoles, they are printed with a single name and job that can't be changed after you buy it? (only sec officers can see if its fake by inspecting it like the captain and fake disks)

ruled that taking a changeling's inert, vestigial brain and placing it in an MMI to see if it had life in it to check if they were a changeling was an exploit.
Exploits implies some sort of flaw or bug in the implementation of the changeling's nature, but this is all working as intended from a coder POV.

The title. There has been shifts where I and my fellow engineers slip into the supermatter (with magboots on!) because I was using the fire extinguisher on it 10 seconds earlier and the sm is back on fire. The ice under the door doesn't melt,(and I can't see it because there is a fire!) and as a result I slippy do dah into a delamming sm. As I'm sure most people familiar with Sybil are aware, security on Sybil tends to use lethals far more often than nonlethals. So, this leads to a question: can an Asimov AI refuse to reveal the name of a human traitor to security based on that trend and law 1? There's an argument that it would be considered metaknowledge, but players are allowed to know the precise details of game mechanics, including things like antags, so why would this be any different?

So. This is admittedly anecdotal, but it's reaching the point where I wanna try and do something about it, and I'm pretty sure spawn rates are config.

Blob's is way too high. It's reaching the point where I'm starting to see one every second shift, including on Low Pop when the crew's like, 15 people. For a Round-ending antag, that's far too high. Especially for one that actively requires a large crew size to combat it.

Blobs are fine in small doses, but when you see them every second round, they grow...

Disposals trapping (making a 2x2 loop with a chute going into it) is being heavily abused lately and should absolutely be noteable and bannable (repeated offences) if done by a non-antag regardless of the reasoning (because guess what, antags dont want to be instantly round removed by a disposals chute)

Naming policy is a complete joke at the moment, as things stand its entirely based upon the admin's opinion on whether or not said name is acceptable which leads to some names that seem passable being banned while outright meme names being allowed because they don't cross the line enough.

it's been TM'd around a month now. could it be rotated to terry or manuel by any chance? it sorta leads to really fast shuttle calls because it's missing a lot of stuff so people can't do things they'd be able to do on one of the main rotation maps (for instance you can't use the gulag). I get using a live server to stress test your map and improve it but hundreds of highpop rounds on an incomplete map is a bit excessive

im sure manuel would test it in a unique way as well with longer round times

Came around this new healing technique and want to know if its an exploit or not if it is then it should be code fixed but their dosent seem to be any issues about it it works by monkifying people which changes every cell in their body healing both brute and burn and also fixing organs but does not change chemicals within restore blood or heal toxin damage it seems pretty balanced so I don't think it is but I'm not sure
