Re: [POLL] Security Sprite Changes

Great, a coder war. Unless you try to carve some neck space from the ausops sprites, the armor is gonna hide the tie of the deus ex sprites, turning them into a shitty khaki uniform. And really now, he wants to make them the new standard sec suit? Please no

Re: [POLL] Security Sprite Changes

I don't know much about coding, but how is replacing 6 items in 6 lockers "overly complicated"? Is it harder than replacing the cargo crate? Considering that it will allow the use of the formal sprites, and that berets/caps/masks/adjusting suit/satchel/backpack can already alter the look o...

Re: [POLL] Security Sprite Changes

What if you replace the armors in sec lockers with pap's armor, spawning/latejoining officers get ausops armor. This way we can still keep the formal suits, officers can swap their tacticool armor with the less threatening one to go along with the formal suit, and at the same time civilians who get ...

Re: [POLL] Security Sprite Changes

Damn I was really hoping that the checkerboard armor would be gone forever, not to mention that I was looking forward to the new formal sec suits and the TACTICOOL armor ruins them. In fact, the formal suits PR https://github.com/tgstation/-tg-station/pull/6409 has been tagged with merge conflict.

Re: New antagonist policy

If traitor rounds or changeling rounds create stagnant rounds perhaps their objectives need to be adjusted, if a gamemode does not spiral out of control by an hour or so on sybil then it's the fault of the game mode. Also, stagnant? Maybe try roleplaying or doing something unique instead of hunting...

I would understand it if it was really a problem but I've encountered it EXTREMELY rarely, and even if I did encounter it, it wouldn't have bothered me unless it somehow really disturbed the round. I was honestly a bit confused when SoS first announced this new policy to us. The terms were vague and he wasn't willing to elaborate at the time. Tgstation is a RP server, meaning that you're supposed to simulate social interaction with the other players. Sex is just a social interaction, it's not something you should be disgusted or afraid of. I agree that silently running to the dorms with your metafriend and going to town isn't really RP a...

Re: New antagonist policy

The new policy pretty much breaks the summon spells (which ironically were added because wizard rounds too often turned into a murderboning party of einath+MM), so it makes sense to remove wizard from the rotation until it's fixed (note: it can't be fixed because wizard will always be at risk of mur...

Flashlights, stunbatons, lanterns (and PDAs) power changes

https://github.com/tgstation/-tg-station/pull/6321 There was a time, a few years ago, when coders were making odd changes that made things more complex and annoying, just for the sake of it. I clearly remember someone saying "What's next, giving PDAs a powercell?" Well, lo and behold: PDAs...

Re: [POLL] Security Sprite Changes

Should there be an option for formal uniforms ala Half Life's Barney? The old Uhangi outfit, blue lawyer suit + old armor + old helmet it was pretty much like the original Barney, a great outfit for a friendly officer.
