If what iyaerP says about you looting/trespassing in the armory is true, I don't see any reason not to leave this at an IC conflict. Both of you acted a bit shitty and there was a lot of needless escalation. You pretty much went out of your way to create problems for yourself.

Bans exist as a way to show you what you did wasn't okay and to discourage the behavior in the future.
