Long-term modes would be a pretty different game. A means to enter and leave the station on your own terms (arrival and departure shuttles?) might make it work a bit better. Every department has a themed assortment of candy, to be given out at their discretion. Some of the candy contains random toxins. Also random drugs and buffs. And give out costumes, including xenomorphs, syndicate space suits and hardsuits (non functional), gang outfits, cultist robes and armblades.
