Re: Dork Souls - Librarians leave notes & get upvotes
Ghost role: elder bookworm You play an old man in a space monastery containing the old space worm, a central bookcase, a golden bookcase and an altar. The central bookcase spawns a book once clicked on, with a 1-5 minutes timer depending on the book's word count. Once you are done reading a book, yo...

Seriously, I rely heavily on avatars to string post histories together in my mind. Please limit yourself to 1 (((one))) avatar with halloween and santa hat variants.
I am ok with you changing avatar if you suddenly become a dick tho.

Re: About 64*64 sprites
There was that coder from /vg a couple weeks ago that had this to say about 64x64: We tried 64x64 sprites. They were reverted 2 days later. Not because of political reasons, but because BYOND shat itself. When I mean shat itself I mean fuck fuck fuck revert. I'd say contact MSO, Oranges or some othe...

Re: Swarmer Horde Lavaland
What if swarmers carried the ore they mine back to base, and every X nuggets a tech item is added to the loot table? The swarmer beacon could use "swarmer satchels" to hold all the ores, which would be better than the normal ones but not as good as bluespace, as well as not being a good te...

Re: Lavaland Update
I like Dagdammint/Kel 's suggestion, get a grid of regions, with less dangerous or "younger" regions closer to the outpost, some moderately mature tendrils inbetween, and a core region with the necropolis gate and a guardian. On the infestation aspect, I too would like to avoid swarmers 2:...

Sorry phil but I can't deliver on the attack animation sprites.
I think I made a couple decent kick variants though, plus a cheesy mech fist.

Re: Sprite Requests
Alright, I think it's time for me to wrap this up since I have made no real progress in the last few days. Sadly I couldn't get the zoot to work worn over the shoulders, it becomes way too bulky. I will just post what I showed in the last preview plus a bunch of recolors. I will probably revisit thi...

Re: Sprite Requests
Alright so I decided to stick with the two-piece design, and added a suspenders item for good measure. (I think this was already part of the game but can't find it). I have had a bit of a block on the last days because I can't manage the "cold pimp with a zoot as a coat" look, but the base...

All traps should have a little hint that "Hey, this MIGHT be a bad idea" like Pride's Mirror having the little "Pride Cometh Before...." examine text. It's already named after a sin in a land full of demons and corruption; the tentacle monsters, floating eyes and infested corpse...

Re: Sprite Requests
Well it's not really about armor values, it's that jumpsuits have a predetermined size, and since zoot suits are large using the exo slot could give it a better representation, depending on how you want to use it:
A bit of bulk gives it a more "mobster" look.- Tue Nov 01, 2016 3:12 pm

Re: Sprite Requests
batsignal Do you still need those animated things? I think shin megami tensei stuff has already been sprited, but can't find it on this forum or the icons folder. @durkel how are these quick mockups? mockup 2.png These are modeled based on jumpsuits. If you want more pixels I could try exosuits. (w...

Re: Regarding various maps on the wiki
I'd say that if linking to a tab is possible, having a second locations table would be superior to having a tabbed one, as it would save 1 click every metastation page visited.XDTM wrote:Close the <tabs> tag before the locations table. I'll try to find out how to link to a tab if it's possible.

Also: is there a way to link a tab specifically? Having links from non-standard stations going to the box tab is not optimal.

Re: Regarding various maps on the wiki
Time to steal some formatting from anime wikis. Edit: yep, it's templates all the way down. Personally, I like tabs. So the choices for me would be to either: tab the locations table, tab the pages individually or tab the template. Tabbing either the table or pages themselves would require entire ne...

Re: A bit more spoonfeeding on the guide to mapping page ple
Alright thanks for the help on map merger.
In the maps folder, every station has a small file which includes which Z-levels are loaded for each station. People tick them when compiling a station to play on I presume, but do they have a use in the map making process?

A bit more spoonfeeding on the guide to mapping page please
-Map defines and when to check them. -Why does using "save as" leave me with an abortion instead of a new station in the maps folder? -The mapmerger tool: Ok so "prepare maps" backs up the current map and ???, and once it's done it says: "Remember to run Map_merge_TGM.bat ju...

Does your screen turn into a black blob while watching dark videos? If yes, you might want to turn your gamma up. It will look wonky for a day or so, but the increased detail quickly makes up for it. Or get a better monitor.

Re: Clothing Damage
From a game design point of view it makes no sense to add a feature if you then tweak this feature until it no longer affects gameplay in a relevant way. Adding item damage and then removing it from those items that are more likely to sustain damage makes the feature utterly useless. At that point ...

Re: Would it be possible to create a daily/weekly gamemode?
Goon once put up a construction server, but the stations created were usually a bunch of squares floating in space and connected by catwalks. It got a bit better when a proper shuttle was added and the meta became make hangar->make corridor->go wild, but the main problem was and is, a station cannot...

Re: Clothing Damage
While I agree that punching a shirt will mess up the fibers a bit, maybe limit clothes to taking brute damage from sharp objects in the future? After this update is heavily reworked, that is. The stations propensity to catching fire wasn't balanced to account for things like this. If you really want...

Thinking a fox is cute doesn't make you a yiffer.MrEousTranger wrote:wait do people assume that if you think moths are cute your a furry?
There are actual moth cliques that behave much like the furries of old, sticking in group against the (hu)man(s) and being an eyesore.
