Re: Payday 2
I did touch on that in the thread. Crooks got a crazy survivability boost from their new armor options and while crouching in fights is gone that wasn't the crook's real MO anyway. It basically got pure buffs because its now so much easier to stack armor bonuses. LWBVs are still sorta ok but only if...

I am highly skeptical of dead presidents replacing it. Crooks never hurt for health before, and getting a boost to your armor seems like a better deal. If you don't like brittle tank why would you run presidents?

Trade 2 changes it so that trading with the secondary instead of costing command instead reduces the value of the trade by 1, so you trade more often, but get less value for each trade. It also gives the primary the ability to cancel a specific trade, rather than nuking all the trades. It soooorta d...

While a dozer can deal 450 damage on deathwish, that requires you to be at complete point blank range. As long as you aren't hugging the dozer you will always have time to run. At a block away the dozer capable of one shotting you is only dealing 50 damage a shot. Other dozers can still pack extreme...

The trick is to never treat your health as part of your actual tank IMO. Once your health starts taking hits you sprint out. Unless you are facing down 6 snipers you will never go from even half health to 0 before you get in cover.

It is there. Everything that was good about the crook got amplified, because the multiplication equation got more balanced if that makes sense. I literally never have used the grinder deck, but when you all were using it with me you kept flopping about on the ground. I don't think a deck where your tank depends on everything going well is exactly viable, you are super vulnerable to even slight disruptions like a taser.

Are you using armored vests?
Like I said, armored vests are probably the highest EHP in the game simply because the dodge is a multiplier. 3x3 is higher than 2x4. Losing 5% dodge is worth the extra armor you get because your armor multiplies into your dodge along with your health.

Its not really hard to escape as the survivor if you focus on ensuring survival. Shocking, I know. But its weirdly non-intuitive. Some of the perks are really useful, it's just that with the level cap you mostly get the commons, which are OK but either too specialized or too general. Killer advice: Traps: Put down traps frequently, especially near where you start. Don't save them, and always pick up a trap when you see it as long as you aren't chasing. The faster you get traps down the more helpful they are. Try to trap off the objective, rather than directly on it. Shit is easy...
