Re: Hitscan laser feedback thread
Iunno man, I think anyone who gets jumped with a gun is gonna be fucked when the chips are down. You aren't going to always be ready for a fight and that's true whether you're being shot with an old laser, hitscan laser or a makarov. Seccies meanwhile have okayish armor against lasers and disablers....

Re: Hitscan laser feedback thread
Lasers and the like are at least able to be EMP'd, and many of our big name antags can get emps very cheaply, and emps generally aren't difficult to make. They serve as a good pre-emptive solution than a passive one or one reliant on RNG.

Observed a round or two with it without being aware it was a TM, and I must say it looks beautiful. Emitters should use this regardless of outcome with handheld lasers. Hitscan emitters aren't part of the testmerge, it's already in. I have played a few bagil rounds but I think I've only seen one pa...

Re: nerf spiders for the love of god
Last time I fought spiders I only survived because I shoved a clown into the spider den and ran as they tore them up.
Then we ordered a bajillion lasers and everything was fine.
Well, for me at least. I had a pipegun full of rubbershot. Everyone else died to spiders and bad air.

The wheelchair one is another example where regardless of the point value it's prohibitively intrusive to play as. Wouldn't be hard to fix, just speed default wheelchairs up a bit. Re: Atmos changes feedback thread
Echoing the concern with the plasma, the sudden spreading of atmos effects across the whole station is very noticable with water vapour. Enough that I suspect you could abuse it to achieve old freon levels of mass station freezing. I think this might be less of an issue with the changes and more how...

Armor is basically utterly lacking in feedback, as you can't reasonably determine if the person is actually armored or by how much. Some suits are deceptively well armored, like wizard robes and security winter coats, or even firesuits. They are invisible values which takes code diving to drudge up ...

You can resist twice every time you can resist. First by trying to move and once by trying to resist. If you can still do that, then it's bugged, since someone pr'd to prevent that a while ago. The main reason why people buy in dorms is mostly because maint access is only available to a small fraction of the crew. There aren't many ideal locations that are discreet enough to purchase stuff on the main parts of the station.
