In general, it's best to get the all-clear from the department in question if you're going to use their stuff. If they say no, ask someone higher-ranking (e.g. the MD won't let you have a medkit? Ask the CMO) or just give up.

The briefcase of dosh exists for a reason. It doesn't have much of a game impact (it used to be purely fluff, but now I think Cargo can use it?), but it's cool, and it helps facilitate antagonist interactions that don't involve clicking someone's sprite until they're horizontal.

Just add a z-level check fluffed as a safety mechanism. If it's deployed on z=1 (the station), it fails and returns the capsule intact. Perhaps EMP it to remove the safety.

Honestly, the relationship between mining and research is symbiotic. Mining gives research materials; research gives mining cool gear. Each depends on the other to reach their full potential. If R&D doesn't give the miners anything, the miners don't have much of an incentive to deliver materials...

You should be able to evacuate the pets at the end of the round. Maybe the objective could be something like "Ensure {pet 1} and {pet 2} do not escape alive on the emergency shuttle"? (Which means heads of staff would try their hardest to evac the pets too.)

Two-handing it should increase its digspeed. Dig faster when you're whacking things with it more.

This is actually a pretty good idea. It means non-antags can't kill pets, antags have more chances to kill pets, and heads of staff guard their pets more. And the CE stops killing Poly at roundstart.

Eventually you learn who's willing to RP and who's constantly packing a stunprod. But I've never seen a greyshirt take the nuke disk, they usually just beeline for the ID, egun and headset key. I kind of wish they'd take the disk more, it lets Sec track them with the pinpointer.
