anyone that played old TGMC knows that there were something like corupted xenos aka greenos and in the future they were removed but i want to bring them back but i want to balanced them first beside brinig the old machanick when xeno had to spawn thier eggs and planting them when the marines would just yoint them but i got a better idea beside researchers waiting for the egg to come to them when the egg can wait for the researcher what i mean is xenos will still have the todays egg planting mechanick but...
What if new gamemode where marines have to clear a map of NPC Xenos? Currently I am thinking of an altered Research Outpost made to look like a hive and filled with 50 or so xenos of pyramidal composition. Lore wise; a Research outpost experimenting on xenos suffers a containment breach and is overrun.
Recently one of our very talented artist contributors has been working on a new set of antagonists in his spare time, including creating a whole design document regarding them. Right now they are called the Cimex and are a zerg-like race that could be an alternative to the xenos, especially for lowpop because fighting xenos there really sucks. This also means some use of the simple mobs so marines have something to fight and players serving more as a commanders rather than each individual unit.

Is it a plan to port goonchat? I used to crash on tg a whenever I messed with the chat box and it seems to happen occasionally on CM as well- the issues on tg were resolved with goonchat, would be nice to have it on DMCA too
Hi, I'm functionally the design lead for now during this beginning period. Feel free to ask any questions of me in the various chats.
During this setup phase at least I'm going to try to keep the gameplay mostly similar and focus on code and performance improvements. Don't treat this as something like a freeze though, if you have some big change you want just discuss it first.
I'll be trying to maintain a list of refactors here which people can port. Let people know if you want to work on one.
