Camera bug is trash

The camera bug's menu is a bunch of buttons corresponding to the names of cameras around the station, but this list is neither alphabetical nor quick-scrollable by pressing a letter like every other decent menu is.

Some cameras have names that aren't immediately sensible (can't remember specifics but some in the brig have names you wouldn't expect.
The camera bug is an awesome little item, but yeah, it's super fucking clunky.

It's dirt cheap and allows remote viewing to every corner of the station if you can just remember the camera name, it's fine.

Not sure if the camera menu was ever swapped over to tg's menu but if it was would there be a way to add a field next to the camera names for notes so players can kind of label them? Alternatively if they still use the old window prompt maybe make it so you can rename them in the menu?

It got updated quite a whole ago, which rolled all the upgrades into the default bug. You don't have to bug cameras, and back when you had to, you could just upgrade it at tool storage to get around that.

I was referring to the controls.
How easy something is to control has long been a part of videogame balancing (the handling on your car, the recoil on your rifle, the string of buttons you need for the combo). Nothing wrong with making something difficult to use when it's powerful.

I didn't mean to imply that there weren't knobs or anything we could fiddle with. Like in a car racing game, it's absolutely fair to have some cars that handle well and others that handle like a brick on wheels. What would not be fair would be to have an FPS where reloading was mapped to p and you couldn't rebind it and you absolutely had to use wasd to move and couldn't rebind that either. But it's competetive balance for a powerful gun! It's also unfun bullshit.

Nobody buys the camera bug and it literally could not be any cheaper. The issue isn't access. We could probably give the damn thing away for free and people would still not buy it.
