who the fuck thought this was a good idea? I take issue with it because water bottles as slips are

-insanely plentiful
-not hard to reuse
-inconspicuous, until everyone eventually wisens up and starts to metagame that water bottles = danger
-annoying as shit

like, we had a clock cult round, and the cult was dropping water in the halls, and since everyone thought it was the janitor it was no big deal - then somebody cuffs you, takes off your radio, and converts you

other slips are still shitty, but I don't have a problem with them because they take some effort to obtain (though botanists growing bananas in bulk isn't much better) and are fairly obvious

that being said just because I hate them means nothing, that's what the thread is for, what are your thoughts

Slipping is an infinitely abusable and shit mechanic for anything but placeables such as peels or soap. The mop is fine, but buckets, spraybottles and water bottles and the like are idiotic considering infinite water is available all over the station. Using a fucking camouflaged tile or lighting to further abuse it makes it even more dumb.

Everytime someone converts me I usually end up killing an idiotic amount of people via water slipping. It's just shit design.

You can get bottles from the chemist in literally infinite amounts. Beakers in night unlimited amounts. Large beakers if you just go to cargo with glass.

One watermelon can make a 50 unit essentially resprited opaque beaker about more than 8 times because of a biogenerator cost of 5, for disposable water slips that fit in your pocket and can be instantly refilled individually via a tap.

Beyond the initial salt I wanted to know what people thought of a low effort easily spammable slip - if you're getting buckets or beakers in large supply that's taking more effort than a vending machine

But you are, because you can do this with literally anything. Glasses from the bar, beakers. All of which are plentiful and not occupationally tricky to get. And a sink accessible from a workplace or the public bathrooms = easy.

Nobody cares Qbopper about you arguing in regards to how it's dealt via container, since beside from a bucket everything that pretty much holds reagents is a resprite of a beaker at a flat 50 units which causes a wet tile (and hence is not going to change at all, resistance is futile), we're just laughing at your squirming.

you have to spill it on the floor, usually people rushing into it will trip on it themselves and blame the janitor. Just check nobody is watching and empty some unmarked and opaque bottles from the garden full of water onto the floor and walk away or hide behind a plant pot or something for your victim.

• Double points if security or your targeted/accidental person drops what they were holding like a stun baton or a taser.

Alternatively you can pull them into it like a slow tactile clown slip.
