Hypno Flash is Unfair

For just 7 TC, you can brainwash the entire station! Its bullshit, to be honest, all you need is to pop some n2o or shoot people with mindbreaker toxin. Makes brainwashing surgery completely worthless.

That being said the brainwashing effect is cool, not to mention the pacifying effect. Just removing the sleep and hallucination aspects of it would be a boring/band-aid solution, ideas?

Or am I completely wrong here and it isn't an issue?

The only downside to the hypno flash is how fucking unintuitive it is, you never know if it worked or not for sure. you can knock people out with the flash's drowsy effect and hypno them, but you can't tell if they can actually hear you while asleep. Also, you can flash someone 10 times and their screen shakes for 10 minutes straight. These trance memes are needless fluffy bloat.

I dont think we need to nerf an item that barely gets used and is super finicky to use properly.

ESPECIALLY since it looks like one of the most overused and overpowered items; sleeping carp is getting buffed.

“Someone made a pr that arguably slightly buffs sleeping carp which is debatably overpowered” is no reason to say we shouldn’t nerf the hypno flash. You’re right though, we shouldn’t nerf it, we should remove it. We add way too many things before thinking about what it brings to the game and we never remove a damn thing.

Honestly I think the Hypnoflash is perfectly fine at the moment, prehaps it could be made 10-12 TC if it bothers you that much. Both the hypnoflash and the surgery have up sides and downsides. While the hypnoflash is mobile, it requires setup, is loud as hell, makes a distinctive light and can easly be messed up if anyone says something over the radio. The hypnotism is also a brain trauma so it can be caught by medical scanners and be cured easily by chemicals, implants or surgeries. The Mindwashing surgery is stealthy, quick and can work on people with sunglasses and mindshields (if you remove them first). With the upcoming Trauma update, surgery is most likely going to be required more, thus allowing a clever doctor the chance to brainwash someone.
