Advanced Mop is Bad, and not worth using.

So, I had a kindly RnD team hand me an advanced mop one round, I was ecstatic at first... tell I used it.

It's a normal mop, but slightly faster, and that's IT!? That's gargabe, no one uses the base mop anyway for a reason, it needs the crappy water crate, it forces people to slip and those are utter crap unless you just want to be an ass hole, which means it's inferior to the almighty Bar of Soap you can get from mining before the mop, which cleans up everything limitessly no slip. Wee.

Long story short? Make advanced mop no slip and limitless, so that I have a reason to use this advanced tech over a bar of soap.

They're related items with two separate issues. Doing stuff with soap doesn't change the fact the mop should probably be a touch better at least.

It's not better, it's the same tool just recolored for the Janitors purplen.

The mop can't be good as long as the soap is as good as it is. That is why it became a "nerf the soap" thread.

The soap currently is an infinite use pocket sized item that does not create slips and does not require extra equipment.

Spray cleaner diluted is nearly infinite and is instant to boot.

The mop, if viewed purely as a cleaning tool, can't compete with items that already perfectly clean instantly, infinitely, and with better storage capabilities. You either need to value the fact it causes frustration in other players or you need to nerf soap and space cleaner to make it legit, nothing can be done to touch it up until then.

Also the advanced mop is better than the regular mop. It just isn't better in an apreciable way that you find worth while, because the mop form is a huge disadvantage compared to every other cleaning option.

The mop vs soap issue is a rather perfect example of why nerfs need to exist in design. You absolutely can't buff everything endlessly to be on the level. Sometimes to make an option good requires making another item not completely overwhelming.

It was OP as fuck and the janitor would get robusted for it. It would be rare to even see the janitor on it too. People would steal it. Projectiles bounced off it and it was spaceworthy. Also very fast.

People decided that instead of fixing the bugs with the pussy wagon or balancing it, it was better to remove it.

Outstanding bugs/balance issues that I can think of:
You can fly in space like it's a jetpack indefinitely
You're protected from projectiles
It has unlimited health and cannot be destroyed
It's fast as fuck

Because there is literally zero point in doing it unless you're covering the murder. There is no reason for it to exist if it doesn't make floors slippery, which in turn provides a nice counter to people running everywhere, while also being a counter to stuff like shields and double eswords, as well as being funny as fuck when you slip a dozen retards running around at once.

Speaking of janiborgs, their ability to fully replace janitor forever is also pretty bad. They should probably have cleaning toggle-able and water floors when it is on. It would make them very dangerous when rogue, though, so I dunno.

It wouldn't make them dangerous when rogue... It would make them as dangerous as any other borg when rogue. Right now, rogue janiborg is a joke. Space lube is fun, but it's not going to kill as many people as a rogue mediborg, standard borg, or security borg will.

In the literal sense janiborg is a joke option. Same with service borg. They are not meant to be doing useful things, they are more for RP or the lulz.

However Janiborg is very useful for a stealthy traitor, as space lube is actually one of the most useful combat options in the game used creatively. It is a hardcore stun that forcibly moves you and is invisible. You can use it to push people out of emagged airlocks or to take out all of security pretty much instantly. Not exactly a power option but its hardly nothing. The borg can't go on a rampage but the damage it can cause is invisible and wont get a rogue borg call.
