Couldn't we have just done the opposite? I think no one would complain about their space wages reflecting their real life wages.

The second purpose was to bring items relatively in line with their value from cargo, so people could actually MAYBE afford things from cargo without raiding the department budgets.

I legit just used the public mine to splurge on cargo gear. It's great to just buy guns and armour and tell sec to fuck off cause I have all the paperwork in order.

I dislike heads having so much pay because they don't take bribes, they have so much money to start off with and their paychecks are so big that money's not really a factor for them and the thousands of credits I risked my life for has no value to them.

This is definitely something worth noting. Items were like 1/10th their cost if you'd ordered them from cargo, despite using the same faux currency. It made no sense.
