we will add this to prefs once you give us the movespeed config back. We will not back down until our demands are met

I personally love that cute little bottom left description. I would kiss it consensually and platonically

i wish this was reverted or at least a pref made because it makes no sense with the text at the top, and more at the bottom and the chat bar is moved too shit looks so uncanny.

because the one at the top is big and intrusive (intentionally, sort of). the one at the bottom is extremely small and non intrusive

sure but that's why it wasn't pressing enough to require it

I actually prefer the status bar to the name popping up at the top of the screen. In actual play, using the top screen pop up is a lot more ui eye movement than what the game has room for when you're bouncing between your surrounds and chatlogs. It's mostly serving as horrible screen clutter. If I felt inclined to use it, I'd use the status bar at the bottom since it's out of the way, but even then, I wouldn't. I'd use shift+right click before then since it isn't moving my attention away from what I'm clicking. This is usually why similar screen pop ups in other games have it hover around the mouse (like adventure games and point and click games) or aiming reticule. Less eye movement, especially if things are moving about. Our system is self defeating for the purpose it was given. All it really does is help I guess figure out what name some doors are? That's basically the only value I've gotten out of it.

It's not possible for us to put it near the mouse without some crazy sacrifices.

Screen tips is sort of a long term thing, I need to work with Floyd on supporting contextual screen tips, and making them ONLY show up with context. For example, when you have a wrench in your hand and hover over a table.
