Ice-Box pods are noob bait

Should send you to that hyper-space z-level that the arrivals shuttle stays at indefinitely until someone gets on it. I believe admins can manually send pods there too.

Edit: wait a minute, now that I realize theres no space on this map. So your dead no matter where you go..

The CentCom Z-Level is still a thing, so maybe you can make it get to the evacuation ship? The issue is that people would get on the CentCom Z-Level and be able to escape from there if the round isn't actually ending (very bad)... this situation demands code nuance.

Can't it be suspended in the transit Z-area where if you leave the pod, you get dumped back into station-local space?

Also, if you jump out of the escape shuttle as it's in transit, you still just wind up on a random icebox tile, often inside a snow wall.

Unless someone wants to sweat the logistics i think it’s fine for planetary maps to be a bit quirky

it's clearly an oversight that should be fixed

Should have like, a drill chute that sends to you to the lowest level of the station, and bores through the rock.
Idk, maybe the transit idea is better, not sure

Edit: A suggestion ontop of this - drill pods that use geothermic energy to shoot you into the upper atmosphere as the planet is simultaneously sent into self-destruct. I don't know what the lore implied radius of the nuke is, based on real world nuclear missiles like Tsar-Bomba, US test bombs etc, but if it involves leaving the planet behind as irretrievable from a explosion in orbit or icebox on turf, the entire thing be blown up as collateral.

invert it; you end up marooned in orbit.

I liked it better when the bottom level was immune to the nuke. Seeing half the crew dash for a ladder or hope the pod lands on the third floor was fun.

The hyperspace (transit) Z-level is an option but players aren't really meant to just be able to hang out there indefinitely. In what circumstances should the pods be made to go there instead of landing back on the planet somewhere?
