I caught a blowfish and a lantern fish. 10/10.
I would like a way to display dead fish on walls, and more alien fish variety, but it's already super fun as is.

Have the sea serpent look like a dragon to contrast with how space dragons look like sea serpents

So give it a chance to spawn a renamed ice welp lol

It feels a little unresponsive with the black bar that you control with mouse clicks. Very easy to overshoot and then you lose "progress".

didnt help me too much all i could figure out how to do is dip my rod in the moisture traps and i caught a rat fish and a taco

where can i get other fish

how can i catch them easier the bar is really hard cuz it bounces off the top and bottom so when a fish jerks up and i click to try and get it up it bounces off the fish then the fish zips back down to the other side over and over

If your fishing somewhere dangerous you should have a chance to be pulled into the water/fishdimension to fight fish with legs(cuz gravity) and roman legionnaire suits

In testing, it appears at current date one year on, it is not, despite that ants can.
Is fishing generally discontinued? We're coming up into mapping madness march, and there is still a number of extreme obstructions to any sort of fishing content being made for this period casually because the process is made as difficult as possible by coders so that fishing is almost never (similarly to casual pipe-chemistry, like a bakery mixer etc) done or even known about on station.

Though the wiki-page hasn't been edited from november, it looks like content taken from a entirely different server as absolutely none of these things have any sort of visibility, take for instance the intense lack of a fishing tech-node or generic metal hooks/fiberglass reels, where the autolathe fishing pole exists only as a greifing tool (fully sprited without the parts on it), worms are also obstructive items to regenerating ash for glass and would probably be better suited to being like a edible form of ants that gets auto cleaned, or they retreat back into the soil.

Trying to shoulder in on the Holodeck suffers a intense "Pass the Remote" syndrome of getting the beach simulation, or means doling out the credits for chefs who may have better things to do when dealing with the frustrating minigame.

Its all already coded, nobody has bothered maintaining it, why wouldn't i ask if its just dead bloat-content like cytology at this point?

1. Worms added for the purpose of fishing do not decompose, do not have bug-foodtype grouping and also appear way too often in nearly every dug lavaland ash-tile. (easily 2 gbp atomized tops)

2. The holographic beach simulation is a phoney, and doesn't respond as a fish-source, which the correct turfs exactly was used for one mapping event last year for a pier and never again, there are no static sources of fish on any spacestation map, and if this was 'fixed' it would still result in people changing the simulation.

3. The UI for fishing consistently breaks and is unresponsive, resulting in moisturetrap ratfish both the first and last challenge due to high difficulty to a lack of alternatives.

4. The fishing pole parts are import only and obscure, which adds additional frustration to debts accrued getting a fishing portal and equipment.
