Can we get an option to toggle hearing this, like midis?
I thought I'd get used to it by now, but I still hate hearing ASSBLAST DIE DIE etc every round.

I thought they could get banned for doing that.

It's easier if people can disable it for themselves than having to adminPM every AI for it.

Yeah, this basically. I admit I abuse utilize VOX more than a lot of other AIs, and I know it wasn't exactly easy to get VOX re-recorded (someone on github says /vg/ has a tool to generate them?) but when you have "wanker," "cunt" and "clown" and not "engineering" or "wizard" or "or", it encourages a specific kind of use.

I just mute my sound everytime I hear an AI spam Vox.
It gets really annoying.

Vox would be much nicer and probably much more used if it actually had decent word selection. At the very least, job roles, station areas, antag types, states (ex. safe, dead, bombed), important items, important events, and conjunctions. If your word selection doesn't include basic functionality but does include assblast usa, it encourages a certain kind of use y'know. Give me stuff like this

"CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER, CHANGELING, BRIDGE. SECURITY TO BRIDGE"
"TELECOMMS EXPLODED. NUCLEAR OPERATIVES ON STATION. ALL CREW TO ESCAPE"
"CULTISTS IN DORMS"
"MEDBAY BOMBED"

I think this is a bad idea.
AI's sometimes convey important info through vox.
They just need more phrases that can be used to make better sentences.

Why not have it that if you toggle the VOX audio off then you just get the Vox appear in the text chat but slightly bolded.

I really don't get why our AI can't be allowed to sound like both/either gender. It is a computer. Not asking for a new feminine generator just want to mix vox for maximally unsettling announcements.

I think the only problem to having two different gender sounds is that it would double the amount of sound files we have to use and we would need to ensure we have all the exact words used by both voices for consistency.

Not that I'm against it, I would love to see more voices.

Not every word as the male voice apparently has more words.
