I'm pretty sure the majority of the playerbase knows there is gold in the vault.

Sometimes problems are quelled before they become problems, champ. That's how coding works. And then a minor group of people cry because they exploited it, but who gives a shit about them and their secret meta oldfag exploit knowledge.

I don't remember seeing a change for this in the codebase.

As far as I know, they've always required diamonds.
