No it won't. The rest of the borg modules have their own purpose and are 100% fine. None of them can ambiguously toe the line like the standard and sec borg ones could.

And from an admin perspective, you could not just "ban" borgs who validhunt. Borg laws are already a mountain of snowflake so trying to decide if something is okay or not is like walking into a fucking courtroom. Going past that and banning the person from silicon is just going to make you look like an asshole.

I've wanted to make the standard borg module into a general, unspecialised module for a while but when I tried to write up the module and test it on my own server, it fucks up all sorts of shit and I don't know where to begin because I can't code my way out of a plastic bag.

The equipment I wanted to give it was;-
A stripped down toolset (Emergency welder -10units of fuel, screwdriver, wrench, crowbar, wirecutters and multitool) + fire extinguisher.
Enough metal for and glass for 10 sheets of each.
A very poor medical set-up:- Health analyzer + syringe + medical gauze + small beaker.
A safety pickaxe + mining satchel +mining scanner (no mesons).
A mop + trashbag.
A hug module + spray can.
Replace the stun baton with a telebaton.
And a flash by default.

Essentially, make it really unfocused and inferior to a dedicated cyborg module/properly-equipped crewmember but can perform at any job.
Unlike, say, an engineering borg trying to mine or a medical borg trying to clean up some blood.

Considering the borg gets an e-sword when hacked, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with making it useful AND giving it the one-two zap and slap e-sword rombo combo.

I mean, with a telebaton you can literally escape by smoking a cigarette or hitting yourself up with an epi-pen and requires the borg being on a help intent meaning you can run past it.

they are coded so that if all other modules/jobs are unavailable, it falls back to standard/assistant to prevent being moduleless/jobless

I haven't seen people try to change AI laws except to subvert them in fucking months because of the massive discouragement now to give AIs something fun to do besides be a doorknob or harm alarm. Getting to play non-antag AI is slowly becoming shittier and shittier because of all the unjustified silicon nerfs because the playerbase whines every time a borg smacks them.

If you wanted borgs to be true neutral you should have approved the inaction clause removal.

God forbid borgs, a player type with a huge number of weaknesses and limited functionality, gets a stun when not emagged.

You need a borg with a default stun for them to be able to drag people to a cyborg converter (because the robo console has probably been destroyed by the time it's been put down), since it only works on living people.
Either reduce the stun to a telebaton or make converters work on dead bodies otherwise the robot army objective is going to become too difficult to actually accomplish.
