Can we remove birdboat, efficiency and dream from rotation?

They are all shit.

Especially birdboat. Birdboat is definitely a low pop map. Should never be on sybil. Efficiency is old and outdated too

Maps should only ever rotate between meta and box.
I'm so tired of rolling antag on other maps because honest to god people act so shitty to end the round anyway.

Birdboat should have a maximum population, but the rest of the maps are all fine. People just like to meme about anything that isn't meta or box.

Birdboat can only go if the population is less than 30. So it rarely(if ever) rolls on sybil. And even on bagil I haven't seen it since forever.

Ive seen it on Basil 6 or 7 times. Its always been super late at night, and the rounds usually end within 20 minutes as the engine inevitably explodes or half the crew kills themselves, usually both.

The one time we just skipped the supermatter entirely and used the thermal engine and the round managed to last an hour and a half or so.

birdboat has its moments, nuke ops on that map is incredibly fun due to how effective bombs are on it and the vast amount of space around every department

other maps are just shittier metastation though

oh but uh despite what i said a second ago go ahead and remove birdboat from rotation. if admins want to run it and ops now and then that's fine but it shouldnt be in the rotation normally because it can be pretty bad for modes like cult

Dream and efficiency should be axed entirely. Birdboat should only be in the running during lowpop rounds. When I suggested the current map rotation system, I was thinking that it would be between Box, Meta, and one other map on rotation.

I have yet to see a solid argument beyond "LOL GO CRY BOX BABY" for not removing map rotation.
People deliberately and constantly tank the round on purpose to ensure a shuttle call. Last time I saw dream come up, we lost an entire ten players.

Their own fault. If someone has so little investment in the round that they'll suicide on a perfectly functional map just because they don't like it then fuck 'em

Absolutely detest efficiency and dream maps, and people hate them so much the rounds are almost always a form of suffering normally relegated to rev or changeling rounds.

Because while Box is nice most of us enjoy the variety. We've had multiple polls on this, you are overwhelmingly outnumbered. The problem isn't map rotation, it's that the aforementioned maps are shit.

The one having a stipulation in its setting in rotation means it cannot run with more than 30 people, which is entirely alright to me even if the map is not one I am fond of. It is the other two that are forced in consistently without such considerations that make them travesties.

I've been shilling for Birdboat probably since the rotation was implemented, ligger. In my ideal world, rotation only includes birdboat and box. Or maybe just birdboat.

BirdBoat is trash and always will be.
Dream is okay.
Efficiency isn't very good but is playable.
Box and Meta are what we all know by now.
If asked I'd say that the rotation is fine without BirdBoat.

Anyways, I'll list my three main points as to why I dislike BirdBoat.
  • It has no Atmospherics system and is thus unrecoverable from bombs
  • The layout is largely nonsensical and is a bunch of unrelated rooms thrown together at random
  • The two-tile hallways are claustrophobic (this is minor)

The lack of a vent and scrubber system is far more disastrous than just bombs. For one, you can't ventcrawl, making antags like morphs nigh impossible and Lesser Form on changelings completely pointless. Two, plasma leaks from a canister stick around forever since there's no doors in the halls (another problem I should have mentioned). Three, it makes atmospheric technicians have no use. At all.
