New Lizards Feedback/Bug Reporting

These are live now, welcome to the bug reporting thread which I suppose could also be used for feedback.

Known bugs:

*Using user pref shenanigans you can get humans with digitigrade legs.
*Legs rendering weird on spawn in certain situations (please tell me specifically which)

Please let me know what looks weird so I can remedy the problems.

Im not sure the entire codergrudge basis for a nerf against lizards was there, sure give lizards a downside but least rebalance to compensate it somehow (quick recovery with digitade legs?)

:( Less accurate than I wished given the situation. I did a ton of testing, but five minutes with 80 players is more than me doing 80 rounds of testing.

Normal legs are still available so it's fine here

also im not sure current shoe sprites actually fit on these


that said these look pretty gross, not because "it's a lizard ew" but because they just don't look good in the first place. look at them

The side view should be changed so it doesn't look like they are about to pounce like xenos, other than that I think it's fine!

Why not add the ability to make cloth rags for your feet, with the stuff grown in botany.

If these posts are true about them being terribly broken I motion that the coder be banned from Git. How does one fuck up coding a near totally cosmetic change?

Trust me when I say it's not as easy as you'd think. All uniforms have various hardcoded versions of themselves, and these sprites have to react based on:

1. How they're adjusted
2. Who's wearing them
3. What else they're wearing

Now keep in mind that not only does the body affect the clothing, the clothing affects the body. Coverage flags need to be maintained for every piece of clothing in the game, and spoilers, they often aren't. What this pull did was not so much "create bugs" as it brought to light past laziness.

In any case the worse any "bug" in this pull can do is "this article of clothing looks weird on this lizard". That is not "terribly broken".

Though I'm probably biased, I'm quite enjoying these updated sprites. Thicker tail has always made sense to me instead of the little twig it used to be, and despite the bugs it still works nicely enough.

I propose we remove liggers until the bugs are fixed.

Then maybe we can pull a secborg on them and just forget to re enable them
