"Digitigrade" means walking on the toes (digits) instead of the soles of the feet like humans do. The knee is NOT backwards, it is that the foot is much longer, and the ankle is where people think the knee should be. The actual knee on many digitigrade animals is much higher.

If you have a dog, examine its hind feet. The toes and paw pad are but one part of the foot, the rest of it bends upward, ending at the ankle. You will find the knee at the end of its upper leg. You can try this on a cat too, but the knee might be a bit harder to find; Plus the cat will probably rip your face off for messing with its feet.

Tricking a bunch of ash liggers into chasing you down a long one tile wide tunnel as a miner only for them all to fall down in a huge pile as you drop some glass just sounds hilarious. Especial if you leave a huge pile of broken glass somewhere that they have to slowly pick up piece by piece or risk being instacritted
