Fire destroying Airlocks

Questionable, but could be argued for.
But why does fire destroy Firelocks as well? They're meant to stop fires.

Yeah fire destroys APCs too which has made plasma fires really damn powerful now

Is it the actual fire destroying them or the high pressure created by the fire?

The fire itself does damage and breaks them.
