Bottom post of the previous page:
Hellooooo, still any interest in this project?
With remie's own project here, this could go very nicely for separating the depth layers by vertical levels.

Not at the moment from me, no. The code is still on GitHub, and I know paprika forked it a week or so back, but other than that nope.

Eitherway, though thats a crude demonstration, that's really cool to see it in practice.

Did you ever make a more complex water somewhere or is the one in the branch the newest one? I'm tempted to take it and expand upon it.

Given slings are a non-antag generic race now and can be encountered abstractly (from legion drops, xenobio chems etc) is there even much demand to make them a full on antagonist again? Or will it simply cause issues like non-antag devil's & changelings where they are effectively castrated of their offensive capabilities and people valid them for no good reason?
Especially since a sling going godmode ends the round with immediate effect and we have plenty of those already with 2 cult modes.
Id much prefer stomping around on a sea floor taking potshots at hostile fishmen with a harpoon gun. Or at least enjoy a swimming pool holodeck room

Those are shadowpeople, not shadowlings

Does it particularly matter? people are likely to mistake one for the other and its only as close as perhaps a small aesthetic difference (if the shadowling sprites on discord go through) and a glare ability is added absolutely as insignificant as ashwalkers to lizards in their mechanics and purpose. My memory of shadowling isn't particullarly rose tinted either.
Its cult-rev (like we need more conversion or cult bloat) basically, you go round glaring & clockcult ring converting people to compare it to current gameplay for a instant round end once pre-requisites are complete. To my understanding until that has happened, shadowlings have been retconned to just be shadowpeople and all the mechanics of its former mode assimilated.
