cats and stuff

i sprited a cat, since i felt like they need to be updated. these are just about the same size and shape as the old ones, give or take a few pixels. comment and critique needed, once any objections to this test sheet are ironed out i'm willing to work on other variants.

Lines look good but don't be afraid to add contrast and color. Instead of going from pure grey to pure grey, you can ramp from one hue to another.

i am aware! the grey is simply for demonstration purposes. a white cat makes it easier to see the basic shading imo.

i might lighten the eye color somewhat, since its the green from the original sprite and it needs some contrast. also, made her whiskers white instead of grey since tuxedo cats usually have white whiskers.

Honestly, Ian's sprite is incredibly iconic. It's one of the first things I think of when I think "Space Station 13". Maybe other corgis can have this new sprite and have Ian have its current one, being a "special" corgi.

You can't replace Ian, after all.




I may or may not have purchased the HoP a new dog and named it Ian rather than lazarus'ing it once or twice. No idea how I got away with that one.

noted! maybe ian could keep the day-glo orange color? have to see how that looks, though.
more animals to come soon, i've been dealing with irl stuff lately so time is short. now that the basic shapes are down it'll be easier to edit the sprites for different mobs.
