(Poll) LOOC implementation.

Post by paprika » #18186

LOOC is local OOC. Only people on-screen can read and hear it.

It can be a good and bad thing for obvious reasons, but it's an extremely simple port and I've already done it. But I'd like to know if people want it, and more importantly, if admins on arty want to enforce it. It will likely blur the lines between ic and ooc a bit, and like I said before, that can be good and bad. Good because you ((don't have to do this if you need to go afk or you want to bitch about lag)) but bad because people will likely bitch about being parac4'd or ei nathed endlessly.

So I'll leave it up to you. 10 day poll. Tell your friends pls.

Do admins have the ability to hear all LOOC from anywhere?

Kind of encourages laziness doesn't it?

I'd rather see adminhelps be used for asking game questions than LOOC to be honest.

How many times have you told someone ICly that you have to click on something or resist to unbuckle from a chair? Admins shouldn't have to be hand holders with basic game questions that can be asked in LOOC and answered by other players. I understand asking admins if you can or can't do something but this curbs the 'how do i pull something' crap

Why would you get in trouble for saying that in normal chat?

((This is better and tends to limit OOC because most people hate it))

It also gives admins another area to be policed, which will make chat even busier.

((doing this is pretty bad tho))

Just add it, it's not that hard to police honestly and y'know, if someone is ic in ooc we can just adminhelp?

Telling someone that you need to click on something or resist to get out of a chair ICly is a bad problem this would fix.

im just going to assume people who vote no have never been affected by the disgusting cancer of ((ic in ooc))
its really bad, and against the rules
if people use it to meta they're idiots for thinking its any different from normal ooc, admins and other people nearby will see them

Just warn and kick that retarded ((ooc in ic)) lovers. There is nothing bad in saying "Press on chair to unbuckle" in global OOC.

This is a feature I've wanted for a while now.
I haven't logged into SS13 in at least a year.

Well, if it works then I see no reason not to add it. ((This)) works but having a more official way to do that is better.
