Bad idea or best idea?

If you make general/stationwide radio intercomm or pocket radio only, you'll greatly limit the propagation of information and situational awareness that comes from it. There will be sizable areas of the station that are 'off the grid', and communication will rely on people going to the trouble of getting a radio, rather than it being a by-default thing.

Would make people feel pretty isolated, which isn't very fun in all honesty.

I've actually gone back on my view of radio silence rounds.
They are boring as Hell. I just need that constant scroll of chatter to entertain my eyes.

This thread again? Please, let us not do this. Radio chatter is part of the game's draw. Interaction with other people, as well as simply listening. Things get dull fast when no one is talking on comms.

I predict this will go nowhere, and in six months, another thread with the same thing will appear.

Can you make it more complex so it factors in proper message punctuation? I wasn't joking about wanting to use this.
