You don't even have an avatar and you've played 9 times in the last month. Who the fuck gonna be voting for someone they never see online for the player vote, the host pick is always a safe pick and the admin vote is usually a repick/gm/trainer

i've joined 89 rounds in the last month, if i connect one more time today i will have been online 10 times as much as you.

just metafriends, active admins (aka the ones voting) is much smaller than the whole pool of admins as the ones who come by monthly or less most likely skip the vote.

inactive admins is an honestly fake problem made up by players and admins trying to sucker players when you consider its effects compared to every actual real problem caused by active admins and current systems used day to day just remember that

Inactive admins can vote on headmins in the admin vote meaning quite literally that abunch of inactive admins can help steer policy by voting for headmins about 60ish admins have less or about 100~ hours in 90 days

about 40 of those have less than 30 hours. Arguing that inactives arent a problem is wrong at best and dishonest at worst.

arguing that you have to physically be on the server (not just in the community, but on the server) >1 hour per day on average for 90 days to be considered 'active' is a bit insane

I've been having a lot of trouble peeing lately. I think it's that i'm just - "forgetting" to piss. My bladder is full but my mind is not firing the neurons that compel me to get up and piss. I can sit for a couple of hours with a full bladder and then get up and piss for 3 minutes straight. Sometimes, I feel like I can feel the kidney stones forming in my bladder. LITERALLY feel the crystallization going on.

Idk, maybe I just need to focus on the smaller things in life more. I feel like as time goes on, I worry more and more about the bigger picture, letting the smaller stuff slip away.

I can think up 5 reasons why this talking point recycled from 6 months ago (your platform) is stupid:

1. you campaigned and won on fixing this "problem" yet here we are complaining about it at the beginning of the next election which just points towards not being a real problem just some talking point that poofs into existence at the start of each election well knowing that we already curate admins that stop connecting all together
2. zero problems were created from those people this term, at all. They weren't that active, but they handled tickets when they were online and that's good
3. think about the ones who stay fairly inactive but quietly help out when appropriate. The good quietly outnumbers the bad and that's a huge point why they exist and you didn't run into issues this term.
4. I'd like to see how many inactive admins honestly vote in elections like they give a shit considering they're barely interacting with headmins and they definitely aren't putting time into policy discussion or #admin-bus or the game or any other medium. seems solvable with a filter either way
5. let's think back to when admins who were inactive came back to cause drama (two come to my mind but lets be polite). consider how horrible they were when active too and then come to the conclusion on whether this was an issue created by the inactivity or by the person who should have been removed from the team. I've seen the cyclical rotating door of drama repeats over the years and a some are issues with old systems being flawed but the massive majority end up easily deductible to an admin that tip toes the line of drama and is not removed when they should be/let back when they should never have been. In that sense, by killing inactives, you've already failed to curate the team.

Let me also just say: The thing headmins keep saying (I brought this up today in admin channels we really gotta fix this) is "welcome back anytime" and this has always been a fucked up statement because it gives promise that you can just re-admin when nobody should be getting that promise. people and times change and it gives unnecessary pressure to headmins to re-admin some people who really were a product of their time. I'm only bringing this up because this was the real issue causing one of the "inactives that become active and cause drama" situations: a shitty person who was let back because of implicated re-adminning whenever. Unless brain worms is making me forget how it really happened :ugeek:

different trains of thought and if you make people read too much they won't read at all so it's more like an underhanded tactic for making people read what you say

I currently do want to demote more people though. You saying "oh we're still talking about this". Is because I on my own cannot remove as much inactive people as much as id like to. The reason its not happened till RIGHT NOW is because atlantaneds admin part of the website to quickly see it was down and not fixed for a long time after asking so I had to get it myself. *because im literally running out of time to wait*

If you cannot put 5 hours into a volunteer position in 3 months then you shouldnt be getting to vote on the direction of the entire server. saying *solve it with a filter* doesnt do shit since we dont use a filter to filter them even though we should.

jumping around something that wasnt as much of an issue this term doesnt mean you shouldnt fix the issue. Having people stick around cos they wanna read the hot drama or talk to their friends is a real thing and just pretending that its not is stupid.

The admin vote is oligarchic/technocratic/somethingalongtheselinesbutnotdecmocracy decision-making anyways.
