All these balance considerations don't mean much to the fact that it's really not fun that someone on another Z level can scribble your name in the death note and that's it, your round is over, nothing you could have done about it.

Unless I am completely misreading this code.

If clockcult got to the level when they have this death note, it's basically over. It's the same when you're playing xenos, and you let RnD live for long enough to develop xrays, tesla revolvers and reviver implants.

Obscene science guns still require you shooting at the xenos. You can run away or get lucky or outsmart the scientist. Even ascended shadowlings and Nar-sie you can run away from. You're still playing the game, even if you're basically screwed.

Literally typing someones name into a list and they die is just terrible.

I deliberately put restrictions on mind control in place. You can't suicide or ghost while controlling someone. If a player wants to be a douche and waste their entire team's mind control on offing someone they don't like, it's a player problem, and I'd rather not change the code unless it's very prevalent.

That round was a fucking mess. I was the detective all alone on sec. Apparently it was clock cult and they somehow fluked in the first couple minutes of the game so Jud created revs (FUCKING REVS WHEN THERE IS ONE GUY ON SEC WHY WHY WHY) at the same time it mulliganed to traitor. I manage to pull the RD out of a gangbang and heal him before i get stunprodded and murdered like 20 minutes in. Revs obviously steamrolled so it became a communism event round that was kinda neat if you were on the communism team, but otherwise it was mostly just death
