Bottom post of the previous page:

The atmospheric anomaly is one of the few reasons making atmospherics better is actually useful in most rounds. In other rounds, any atmospherics problems sprout from atmos anyways, making doing anything but changing the pumps to volume pointless.

You turn off the apc or turn off equipment power to the room.

You have to depower the entire room via APC (Unless you're malf which can just blow up a single console).

Click the APC, and set EVERYTHING to off. Or, if you are rogue and if you're plasma flooding, leave main power, atmos, and lights on, but just disable equipment. Then bolt every door in the room. This way you have to tear down walls/windows instead of just crowbarring the door, the plasma continues to get to it's destination, and you can still blow light.

What are the exact damage values of common mining weapons (from pickaxe to diamond drills to resonators)?

All pickaxes and mining drills do 15 brute, while a shovel does 8. Kinetic does 30 brute in unpressurized areas, 15 in pressurized. I think the resonator does 60 brute in unpressurized and 30 in pressurized, but I may be wrong on that.

Is there even any cons to augmented limbs? You can heal yourself with a little welding here and there and all that yabadee yatata

If you get EMPed, bad things happen like lots of damage.

I'm probably remembering things wrong but it's a flat 20 damage per limb.

Which can be fixed with a bit of welding.

So if you fully augment yourself you take 120 damage...?

With the new nutrition system, is it even worth it as botanist to provide higher-potency produce (besides things like wheat, where the potency mostly affects what you get from grinding)?

Limb damage on augmented limbs is tracked separately to your HP

You have to request an admin to retrieve them for you on the spot, as far as I'm aware.

How do you make a "Attention:" announcement as the AI?
Doesn't seem to be through the request console as I thought it might have been.

Communication console. AI/Borgs automatically log into it and can call shuttle (but not recall) and make announcements via it

Hence why you can always tell when the AI is shitposting (shitannouncing?), because the message has the request console style but doesn't give a heads job.

Pretty sure the AI also has an actual icon for it on the new AI hud. I don't play AI much however, so I may be wrong.

Nah, that's correct. And it had a verb before that. It's never needed a communications console to call the shuttle.

Fun Fact: Borgs can make "Priority announcements" from the bridge communications console just like the AI can.

How does one flood the station with plasma or n02 as a malf/traitor AI or traitor atmos tech?
I've never been able to understand atmos after all this time.

mikecari wrote:How does one flood the station with plasma or n02 as a malf/traitor AI or traitor atmos tech?
I've never been able to understand atmos after all this time.
At its most basic level: Find the tank of plasma/whatever. Find its OUTLET PUMP (it should have a red mark pointing AWAY from the tank) and turn it on.

Then turn on these pumps:
- PURE TO MIX pump (it connects the orange loop and the green loop - in the little top-right room)
- MIX OUTLET pump (about in the middle of the little top-right room)
- MIX TO DISTRO pump (connects the orange loop and the dark blue loop)

Then run around the station accessing Air Alarms. Turn off the external pressure check. Turn on the internal pressure check. Turn the pressure to 0.

This will get you a basic flow but it will be weak. To get a better flood you will want to do the following:
- Maximise the pressure at the tank console
- Exchange your pressure pumps for volume pumps
- Add oxygen
- Modify the pump setup to entirely bypass the mixing tank and flood directly into Distro.
- Any other creative ideas you may have.

And if you have the patience, disable air alarm settings for plasma, heat and pressure.

Where do I get extra supplies for construction besides the tool shed and cargo?

What exactly does Beepsky Smash do? I've seen it made a couple of times but no one has ever tried it.

It makes you unable to move. Insanely robust when applied to xenos or hulks via syringe gun

Yep. They're both useful but they have their own uses; Beepsky Smash is constant and less conspicuous, Neurotoxin keeps them knocked down just like oldchloral.

So, no? I'm asking because it's kind of weird at the moment (e.g. xeno walks into the room while you're getting de-larva'd, youlie on the table screaming while the surgeon gets eviscerated).

Despite the long time I've been playing, I've never had the opportunity to actually do this, so - how do you go about making constructs?

I thought there was something limited to wizards and cultists, but apparently even security can find a shell somehow. What's the process? What do you do from the point that you have your soul-possessed shard?

Re: Simple Questions Thread

You use the shard with a soul on a shell and choose which construct you want to make out of it. As far as I know you can't get construct shells outside of wizard/cult rounds without admin fuckery unless mining happens to find them.

That explains the wizard.

But not the cult. You don't seem to be getting at what I'm getting at - how does the first construct shell that exists in a cult round come into existence?

There's a rune that summons an artificer shell and also you can have a talisman that also does that.

I think its true. I've set jobs like Security Officer to high before and had it spawn me as a tator in other jobs while the security team isn't close to being full. The only way I think it could do that would be by choosing me as an antag before it rolls my job.

I'm honestly not sure what the status on that is, its been set and reset and removed and re-added because of things like Changeling AIs, or spawning Malfs as humans and instantly ending the round, and traitor HOS. Man that was some wacky shit for a short while there.
