Shuttle Calls shouldn't be because the game happened

I can't post in the actual thread so I'm going to post in reply here instead.

Something you have to realize as security is two things.

1. You will be ahelped if you do/don't do your ""job"" properly. You'll get ahelp'd if you kill the bad guys for trying to murder you. You'll get ahelp'd if you don't kill the bad guys for trying to murder you and they succeed.

2. You better be a real fast talker because of the above, because you will get hounded.

Casualties skyrocket in horde mode roundtypes because the half of the station that isn't converted to either side will immediately start fucking with both sides. Then they ahelp when they get killed for acting like a rev during rev because "I WASNT A REV WHY DIDNT THEY IMPLANT ME DESPITE CARGO BEING OVERRUN ENTIRELY AND THE LAST IMPLANTS IN THE BRIG ALREADY USED UP ;_; ADMINS PLS BAN"

I was ahelped once because I put a guy in the gulag for 500 points for stealing the hand teleporter, a known steal objective, and using it to commit more heists of stupid bullshit.

I was ahelped once because I killed a few assistants who decided roundstart what they needed to do was smash all the windows to the HoP's office, beat him up, take his ID, and destroy the entire HoP Line and computer.

You could perfectly execute a rev round totally peacefully, implant everyone, and you will get ahelped for making people wait on implants and making chair cuff lines in cargo.

You could perfectly execute a rev round murdering all the head revs and they'll whine in OOC that you killed them and ahelp.

You could go on a mass rev spree after announcing that no implant + being shifty = ur ded kiddo nothin personell *unzips katana* because cargo is literally gone, and kill the head revs this way and you'll get ahelped.

No matter what you do, it becomes an OOC issue.

And so, I would rather call the shuttle and minimize my incoming ahelps than spend more time on station getting maximized ahelps.

Everyone is mad if you're security. You cannot appease any side. They will simply be mad you didn't go further, even if there was no further.

1) Being ahelped, while disrupting the flow of your round, ultimately means nothing. All it means is "Hey this guy says he was killed for no raisins, how much is he lying" in 90% of cases.

2) Why is your title unrelated to what's going on in the thread

3) Being aPMed just means the admins want to talk to you jesus christ why are sec players so edgy about it. It means you won, you made the shitter mad enough to cry to mommy. Relish the "Urist McGreytide says he was gulagged for no reason, can you explain what happened". It's second only to IC in OOC by arrested people for salving the holes in your soul playing sec leaves.

4) on the other hand some admins are griff enabling turdburglars not naming any names who'll silently note you without telling you for playing a competent sec during an emergency

Not sure why people are against the PR - if you mute someone grom ahelps and they get griffed it's tough shit, why not extend that to a harsher punishment (without jumping to servee bans)?

Stupid games, stupid prizes - if you don't want to be banned from ahelps don't abuse them

I'll concede that they could be misused, but we have ban appeals for that, and there are many tools admins can abuse that we trust them to be responsible with

I get bwoinked often and I can nearly always tell why they're doing it-- because I dunked some chucklefuck and they got assblasted. When I explain my story they pretty much always leave me alone.
