No, seriously.
Every single one of you that complains about shit and how stale every round is. Just go play something else for a while.

I've only played a handful of rounds but it's something new and moderately interesting every time, no changelogs to read, no wiki bullshit. I'm running around and spot this massive thing in the fucking bar. What the shit? Apparently it's a DNA vault, whatever.
Then some fucking FOOD SMOKE pops up underneath it, from a smoke machine. More shit I haven't seen.
Now I want to go science next round I play and toy around with whatever new crap there is, make my own damn smoke machine or something. THINGS ARE FUN AGAIN. YOU'RE BURNT OUT.

I have no idea what else has been added since i've been gone, and that just makes it even better for me. Rediscovering the game and figuring out new unknown shit.

i play most rounds, and one round lasted 4 fucking hours because they didnt leave until swarmers took over because there were no emergencies.
its shitty that people rush shuttle when AAA ITS ONE HOUR WE GOTTA REROLL FOR ANTAG!!!!!!! or AAAA WE DID WHAT NANO TOLD US LETS LEAVE!!!
its called an emergency shuttle for a reason, and most times when its called there is no emergency, its because a tider didnt roll antag and wants to ruin it for the rest

the game isn't the only thing that's changed.
the players have changed with it, and sometimes not for the best, and if you have nothing but good memories of constantly playing a game that you really loved and to see it so different in such a different aspect it's pretty souring

but smoke machines r pretty cool

i miss 3+ hour rounds
i miss admins not facerolling buttons the moment things slow down
i miss captains not calling the shuttle because all antags are dead
i miss people actually roleplaying instead of taking every excuse to start shit

Last I remember the reasoning was to refactor modules into making customised borgs, like something with medical and mining equipment but it died and no one even put an obituary in the papers for it

Considering that in these past few weeks, most of my interaction with the game has been idling in observation mode in xenobiology, typing up notes for my next campaign while waiting for sentient xenobio mobs/testing bugs/jumping on ghostroles, I think I ought to have a break soon.

Considering the amount of time I have available to me at the moment that I can do this, I should probably make some effort towards adminship when I return. I haven't properly interacted with the bus since I was an AO.
