It's off the hub, and on the hub sometimes. I thought it was hippie-station and I ended up clicking the wrong link. I made 100 potency combustible lemons and threw them at sec and bridge. Needless to say, the admin did not appreciate my behavior, and when I got banned. That was when I realized I was on the wrong server. I came back after my ban time ran out though.

i randomly joined through the hub and this is the one i happened to stick around on. i think i played about three different servers for maybe two rounds each before randomly joining bagil. its crazy to imagine i might be a paradise resident or soemthing if i hadnt stuck around here.

Tabletop friend who told me about this game and got me playing it had me go through /tg/station to get on. I guess that's just what he played on at the time, and I was too naive about the game at that point to even know that other servers existed so I just stuck with it.

I was rooming with an even bigger stoner then me through college and he kept going on about this game that you could do anything in. he found it from some asshole on twitter he follows. I played my first round sitting on a couch taking vape hits in this one medical weed shop in the u district that let you rent vape machines to medicate with.

Best way to cure headaches.

Used to be into binging TV tropes and a lot of the stuff about SS13 made it seem really appealing to play and fuck around in.

why TG in particular? because it had one of the highest playercounts on the hub and from there it turned out that I liked the community.

Played on goon when it was the only server in existence. Then when /tg/ started I moved to there as it's a board I regularly use.

came from /vg/station after having played on and off there for 4 years (I found ss13 on /vg/ way back when.) I sometimes get into maniacal stages where I play nothing but ss13 non-stop and I did that on /vg/ in 2014 and I did that in /tg/ in 2017.

I knew Tash Durandel through other channels. They told of a world of wonder. So, after a few years of being in their games, I swung by.

got headbanned from yogstation for rd powergame (last straw: having an energy gun and sonic jackhammer)
got of playing security officer and read the yogstation wiki
was too lazy to find it in hub so clicked wiki join links
lo and behold, it led to tgstation sybil instead. thanks, wiki maintainers of old yogstation.
asked for a toolbox as security officer, traitor handed me one with c4 in it
got instagibbed
decided this place was pretty fun

I've only heard bad things about "No fun allowed" station anyways. Like if sec starts swarming you for being a traitor you can get banned if you end up killing them. Like a ling on yog getting banned for murdering the hop and the cap, but not absorbing the hop. So it was "needless murder" even though they both were in bridge.

Yeah, its harsh on anyone even slightly stepping out of boundaries. I guess.

Lurked on /tg/ for a few years. Somebody mentioned SS13 in a sci-fi horror thread. Looked up the tgstation wiki and was amazed at all the features of this crazy game. Many wasted hours spread over a few months and here I am.

There was a string of threads about fantasy game about surviving an underwater base on /v/ and people would make up greentext stories. They were fun threads, but no way a game like that could exist. Eventually SS13 picked up enough steam to get posted on /v/, except this time the greentexts were real.

So, as excited as I was, I joined tgs with the first terrible /v/ summer invasion that ruined the game forever. My first round was as a security officer who tried to arrest a corpse whose PDA exploded, leaving a breach in the floor under him, suffocating myself.

Years ago, when that Town of Salem thing was a flavor of the month on /v/, people kept showing up and saying how much better SS13 was at the concept. I didn't really give it a look at the time, as I didn't feel like learning a whole new game, but I had it on the back-burner of sorts. I kept seeing clown memes every once in a while, and it was a stupid little clown flash on /f/ of all places that finally got me interested enough to play it. So I looked through the servers on leddit, and found /tg/, and figured, "hell, I rarely visit that board, but 4chan is 4chan, I'm sure the community is close enough that I can enjoy it". Funny how /vg/'s aversion to reddit caused me to miss their server entirely.

Crazy thing is how SS13 is nothing at all like Town of Salem.

Can't remember how I found the game itself, I just remember my first ever antag round was on Bay for some reason and I got permaed for killing my target because I didn't read the rules.(this was back in like 2014). Found /tg/ a little after I got that and stayed here since, I've recently gotten back into playing.
