Also, I would like to know why there isn't a formalized admin application/form people could fill out. As I understand it, currently, it's the admins who choose players they like and ask them to be on the admin team or something like that. Maybe I'm too much of a brainlet to understand.

The administration has always been against public bans as a default.
Players are free to speak about their ban and of course to appeal they must bring it up. We've always held the view that if a ban is done it is up to the banned person if they want it to be public. Same with their notes.
I don't really see any reason to change this except people wanting to laugh at other peoples bans or wanting confirmation that bans are actually happening which you can do by asking an admin.

I'm sorry let me rephrase it.
The Headmins and the Host have always historically been against it.
An admin can tell you what happened but it's at their discretion, there is no guarantee.

i've changed my mind about public bans but my stipulation is you have to login to your byond account as well as have a certain amount of playtime within the last 30 days to view it.

Goof doesn't even play the game.
Anyways I used to supportmin but people kept pinging out over minor stuff including 'give me antag' and tc trades and I got sick of it.
Then people started doing the same to the terrymin role.

no admins being on bagil isn't a bad thing if you get some perspective. I've been going on sybil more than usual lately (terry too) and tbh we aren't missing out on much boys. we dont get to see some good ones but we also are lucky enough to avoid the really bad ones. plus rules aint shit anymore

I've been playing on event hall mostly lately because it's kinda fun playing with new players and showing them the ropes.
occasionally some non-sense will happen that goes above and beyond a newb being a newb and I ahelp, but there's almost never an admin online and rarely does one show up to handle it.
I'm asking because I dont know; not to be any kinda way, but:
is the newb server intended to be less-moderated or is it a side-effect of being understaffed?
