>elect 3 sybilmin as headmin
>only candidate sybil players
>surprised when sybil has all the admins

It doesn't have anything to do with the headmin election, or even candidating Sybil players. Basil was an awful server to admin on (in high pop, in med-low pop it was usually lovely IMO) and it really didn't produce a lot of people who were suitable to be admins, with a lot of the experienced players on that server usually being part of the problem. No changes were made to the rules or their enforcement to improve the environment of Basil so a lot of admins slowly tired of it and new people were harder to come by.

They always do that, because the ATs/GMs/Headmins candidate Sybil admins not to fill a time slot or anything but just because they think the person is suited for it. It's not according to need. And other things too like preferences changing, old admins coming back, etc.

But there really are not enough people there to man Basil. If those 4 people on Sybil weren't allowed to all be on Sybil, they just wouldn't be adminning. They refuse to log onto Basil. My best guess is that to those admins adminning isn't about trying to help the server, it's just entertainment. That's not really something I truly understand but they're not really hurting anyone by doing that as opposed to doing nothing, and /tg/ has never really had standards for adminning on specific servers.

It's not going to be fixed by trying to push for more Basil admins, that much is very obvious. Forcing admins to go to specific places would be received exceedingly poorly and most people who wanted to go to Sybil would just stop adminning entirely, assuming such a policy actually made it past step 1. It'd be easier to fix Basil and make it no longer undesirable but the /tg/ station team doesn't truly have an interest in doing that either ?

No doubt, the current headmins don't particularly have the energy to deal with this anyway so it'll just continue to suck for another year.

i didn't find that bagil was unreasonable it seemed very tame to me compared to the other servers, the players seemed to know what they were doing relatively well so the issues that did come up were genuine but not like paste eater for the most part

We need more admins like nabski. Say what you will about his conduct, he saw a need for admins and became one. For a really long period I would always see him adminning bagil.

Also subject I disagree that this has always been a thing. I’ve really only started noticing this in the past month, I took like a two month break and at some point in that period bagil became an admin deadzone. I think the issue is more like all the bagil admins quit or got deadminned (a few going to sybil), and no one has bothered to replace them as of yet.
