Hello everyone! Amazing news: we're hosting the Summer Ball 2019 on August 24th 5:00PM EDT! It will be held in two different servers: Events Hall (US) and Events Hall (EU)! Also, a shoutout to MortoSasye for the great art piece she made for this event! Let's ignore the fact forum pictures are not working properly so I have to use attachments and I hate it! Yay!

What is the Summer Ball?
It's a roleplay event! Get a date if you'd like, and hang out with your metabuddies. There is a special map for it, created by a bunch of wonderful people who offered their time, blood, tears and sweat so you can enjoy your space prom!

Are the rules the same?
Yes, and no. You are expected not to try to initiate conflict in any way, and it's probably better if you take it to admins before deciding to go on a murder spree because someone pushed you and someone else stole your drink. This is supposed to be a social event, there will be no antagonists during it and you're expected to behave and have fun. Any sort of griefing will be punished harshly, you have been warned. Any form of erotic roleplay is still not allowed, but holding hands is fine!

Yes! Shamelessly stealing some from the last ball's thread, because it still fits:

Security during the ball
If you're a player with a good note history, feel free to ask any of our admins to fit you out in security gear for the duration of the event. You are expected to break up minor fights, but you shouldn't be afraid to contact admins if things get out of hand.

Dedicated admins during the ball
As always, and even more now that we're hosting it in two different servers, we need admins that will be available to handle the bunch of ahelps that will pop up during the ball. We tend to get an average of 100~ ahelps.

We'll need a good amount of security for the ball on either server so please DM me or someone else before the ball so we know who to give the sec gear to in advance. Include your ckey and the server you plan on playing on.

Here I thought that Valentine's would be the only day of the year that I'd be shamed for being single.

Okay, I say we should be allowed to rush the sec fortress like an area 51 raid. no lethals or punching allowed, and once it's over security either lets us out or the raiders let us out if they won. my bad if this is the wrong place to post.

Thread link shows most/every secret on the summer ball map

The ball was probably fun, but the late EU start time (between 10PM and midnight) and added two hour delay pretty much killed any EU participation. I hope the next events comittee takes note of this, and consider running the EU event at an EU friendly time.

From the little I saw before turning in the map seemed cool, so good job on that.

Yeah, I ended up entirely missing due to the late EU start Hopefully next time will be able to start a bit earlier.

of course i was on a holyday will there be a winter ball too?
