Act mildly suspicious so you get searched repeatedly in the first few minutes of the round, doing shit like printing off a book titled "cryptographic sequencer" and putting it in your bag in view of a sec officer then running away, then spawn your gear once they start telling you to fuck off instead of searching you

so it's not a tator tell, do it on regular rounds too

The ol' Pax tactic.

Add in aggressively ahelping whenever sec players start to metagrudge you, so that they are afraid to arrest you when you're actually antag.

Get into escalation fight with target
Act like you are helping your target to cyrotube to heal
Add in some easy OD chem to beaker a little goes a long way.
Epinephrine is a slick one if the medical staff are not on their A game, Super easy to OD in the tube on and few would bat an eye at its use.
Watch them die in tube.

Make 6-8 meth bombs, put voice analyses in them bait yourself getting arrested, or go to a group of people and scream the magic words, and make a huge hole out of the station. Or you can bait people into interviewing with them, make them sit, get an e-sword and hack them to death, then space their remains.

this is a very good strategy if you're a contractor and you gotta abduct someone like the lawyer
"hey can i sue the captain"
"sure"
angry contractor batoning mid conversation

on that note nobody abuses the true combo of "connect disposals straight to the grinder and then emag it" to "ebow people and then stuff them down disposals"

redirecting disposals into the supermatter is more fun
or a fusion chamber

I think my favourite one was back when the singulo was still the main engine, not for redirecting them into the singulo itself, but just for dumping them into a containment field and watching them get pinballed around

Be clown and buy a storage implant and poison kit.

Hide poisoned beer in your implant but also carry regular beer in your backpack.

Go around feeding people poisoned beer. When caught deny everything and laugh as they try to feed you the beer from your backpack.

My favorite old strategy was ultra simple: acquire a .357 and c4, plus a spare jumpsuit, hat, and shoes, and gasmask.

Change into murder outfit, remove ID, hide in closet near target's workspace. When the target comes along, just empty the gun into them, plant c4, and run.
Change back into your uniform in maint, throw your bag containing revolver + murder outfit into space. Even the shittest sec powergamers would have issues pinning this one on you, if done properly.

The ol walk in front and slip, which goes into pew pew or hack and slash. Super effective if you got a bear trap. Always carry a bucket of water with you with some no slips.

swap it for one of the publicly accessible oxygen cans and just wait for someone to refill their emergency tank with it

Corpse conga line into the mining shuttle, and a relocated mining shuttle terminal. Lead a mega close, wait until they spot the corpses, run out of aggro, let them "Ooh, a piece of candy" into the mining shuttle, send to station.

Golems are never taken because people (rightfully usually) assume they are a boring role and aren't even independent. But people will ALWAYS join when they know they will get free antag.

So, how do you utilize that?

Start as sci doing xenobiology. In the offtime, build an arsenal in the maint (loads of spears will do the trick really).

Make 10-15 or more, the sky's the limit!, golem shells but don't complete them.

The hard step: kill a few people. It doesn't have to be a full on murderbone. But it has to be enough to create salt with ghosts. That will get you the ghost circle. 3-5 people should be enough.

Now complete all golems. Ghosts will be following you and they will see that you created the golems. They will instantly join because they know gamer time is about to happen.

Enjoy your free golem army!
But Arathian, what about the spiders?
Only people with TC can have spiders. This can be done by anyone, like blood brothers or even lings!

this strange mix of exploiting psychology and taking advantage of the way the game works is both fascinating and extremely frustrating to me

I mean sure remove it if it's janky ancient code that's impossible to maintain that's a good reason to remove it or if you still need xenos to be able to abduct people without dragging then replace it with an updated version that isn't based off code that hasn't been touched for like eight years
