im already a fan of dark purple slime + shotgun since dark purples seem like they throw out the balance of strong and slow vs fast and weak

chemistry feels like the most annoying thing to train atm but i havent pushed for it much, cooking on the other hand is going to be my first lv50 just because pasta is so easy to grind

greytiding + tinkering to sell flammable junk feels like the best money maker i found early on, after one night of afk mining iron i had enough money to last a good while and enough mining exp to afk mine higher level stuff and at that point money was solved

in general combat trains way way slower than everything else and ive had loads of equipment way before ive had the evasion stat needed to wear them and i think thats my only real complaint, i dunno how exactly it needs to be tweaked but it feels like combat stats level way slower than everything else, maybe lower the evasion stat requirement but add other stat requirements? something like needing 5 evasion 5 power instead of 10 evasion, i dont know

either way im greatly enjoying this and you did a fantastic job on it

You don't have to grind chemistry, you can just tide a volatile catalyst then make more of them as you need them.

yeah as soon as i made that post i unlocked volatile catalysts and wow that sure is a thing im now using to grind space lube

also a lot of the ways to make electricity seem kind of redundant mechanically, but im glad theyre in for the *deep lore*

I'll fix it in the next big bug batch. Minor fixes are on hold while we are working on a new feature. If anyone could quickly explain how hats and hair are supposed to work that would be useful. We're assuming everything over a certain point gets cut off currently.

not that it really needs a nerf but unless its top tier stuff it doesnt feel worth fucking with botany seeds and multiple plants once mining is maxed

tiding in botany is a decent way to get your first batches of seeds when you're not earning enough to just buy them

tinkering is good when you're going back to beat up weaker enemies to grind stats since you don't have to worry about the huge movement slowdown that comes with using a mech

refreshing is how my mechs mysteriously all went up in evasion requirements though, why would i ever subject myself to such a penalty ever again

ANYTHING is good for greytiding if you just buy the upgrades/use the chem so you dont fail so much, i run plain tomatoes for it and it's full afk at 39% fail chance (24% with thermite) and 400~ max HP

So far I've seen the Robes of the Honkmother on the funny clown.
I made a mouse-pocket sprite (donk-pocket made from a dead mouse) that might be a fun addition. The PR was made by Coconutwarrior to add them to the game, but I think it got closed for some reason or other.

I'm about to be adding more characters. If you want to get in the game then either go to the discord and read the stuff in sprite requests, or you can do it here in the spoiler. PM me after that or put it in discord.

It's time for me to start gearing up some additional enemies and bosses.
An easy to clean up sprite can and will make the difference between me using it, and not, so here's how to get good pictures of your character.
1. Set your scaling to 1x1 in the preferences menu. 2x2 or 3x3 works but don't use stretch to fit as it causes some WEIRDNESS that is a hassle to remove.
2. Go to the holodeck and set it to picture gallery.
3. Face forward.
4. Be clean of blood and item damage.
5. Don't have those pink belts caused by icon issues.
6. If you are on a custom server or don't care about your character, ghost then turn off shadows and huds.
7. Post it in submissions
Now in no real order I need the following
Boss zone one: Revolution
No required specifics here, just look like a rev in a normal rev round. Things that let me use fun titles help. There will be at least one quartermaster
Boss zone 4: Nuke Ops
Turtleneck+some gear
hardsuit+some gear
elite hardsuit+some gear
boss zone 5: Cult
I'm looking for either clock or bloodcult.
For bloodcult I'll want one with only the hand/blindfold active
red eyes+some more cult gear
full on cult. If you manage to get a gif with the halo you're my hero.
For clockcult
No-one has this sprites anymore, but the basic starter outfit, and maybe some midgame stuff like the glasses
Boss zone six: Wiz Biz
Skeletons
Stand

I'm loving it, favourite skill by far is graytiding, although they're all very similar, since you mostly just click and wait for everything, but graytiding has this lootbox mechanic of maybe getting a cool item, maybe getting trash (tinkering takes so fucking long to level holy shit) or maybe getting hit.

A few pieces of feedback from what I believe to be solid midgame material.

Far too many enemies have resistance to energy weapons, making kinetic kinda the default for everything but the supermatter anomaly for this stage of the game. Most resistance items (gloves, pets, etc) are too minor to have noticeable effects and going for power/precision boosts is always always worth more, specially just direct health boost.

Tinkering is absolutely useless and there is little reason to use it past the first few tiers. The movement penalty really isn't enough to discourage just using whatever heavy mech is available at any one time, specially given how bosses work. There is no real reason statistically speaking to use melee weapons over ranged ones because making ammo is absurdly fast and easy to stock up on like 3000 shells and not worry about anything. Cooking is mathematically not that viable because power levelling botany and just eating the ingredients directly will get you through most of the midgame just fine.

The jump between low tier and high tier graytide gear is a bit sudden and massive and there are clearly superior items amidst the bunch (like insuls on the first half tier).

EDIT: Also, farming for code green passes is a pain. More enemies should have a low chance to drop a single one on low tiers, because farming Braindead Assistants for em gets pretty dull.

greytiding medical is by far the best source of meat in the game once you've got some thermite and hacking tools together

the one thing I'd like to see is an option to automatically set chrono to x1 if your actions are halted for whatever reason like running out of ingredients

the chrono thing stores time when you're not playing (when the tab isn't open)
if you have stored time it speeds up the game and uses up the stored time so you can grind faster

Yes I'm not happy about how I ended up assigning resistances. I'm going to revist that at some point.
I still haven't done the math, but I think your effective combat xp/second between the two skills is about equal.
I'm hoping to expand more on the unique pills like happy pills which ranged are just unable to use. These bring melee up to ranged in power level and are even easier to craft.
You're still midgame on the cooking part so I'm not unhappy about that.
No comment on the tide gear I'm pretty happy with how that goes.
There's a big boss update coming today.

I was close to done anyway, I had 50s on everything except xenobio and validhunting but getting close there. I was gonna complete those and then unlock the mystery skill to sate my curiosity, instead I just used cheats to see what it was.

so I didn't check what the heritage (lavaland) crate could give and just fucking farmed code blue and lavaland bosses to get exotic parts to roll a box

dude this box is horseshit there's like one decent pet with an absurdly high chance and maybe the clownsuit is worth it nothing else, I got fucking flammable trash

We've almost doubled the number of enemies in the game since original release.
There is now also chronoresets. We haven't figured out the name for it but reset your progress and get permanent boosts like the ability to store more hours or spend time faster.
