Custom Keybindings

Post by Bugseatbugs » #568599

I'm trying to set up custom keybindings such as flip and spin. I've set hotkey mode to Hotkeys. Every time I click [Unbound] I get the pop up telling me to press anything to set it. I press the desired button and nothing happens. I've tried the [Add Secondary] with the same result. What am I missing or messing up?

deadass try restarting your PC.
i don't know why, it may just be coincidental, but when i run into inexplicable issues with byond restarting my rig always seems to help.

I've been trying to do that too for few months, and to no avail.

It just straight up doesn't take any input. I've tried to save settings and it still doesn't accept anything.

Every day I shut down and restart my computer in the morning. I try every new day and it still doesn't work

Might it be that I'm running on Windows 7?

I dunno, I run W7 right now, earlier this year I tried to change hotkeys on W10 and it didn't work on either, the menu popups just do not accept any input.

There used to be some kind of gay bug with hotkeymode and classic, that fucked over keybindings and primarily affected everyone that had an older account. If you have this, switch between the hotkey systems, reset em, whatever, and it should eventually work again.

Yeah it just doesn't accept any inputs. I've now updated internet explorer and am trying that.

Yeah updating internet explorer did nothing. It really might be the OS at this point and I don't care to update yet. You said it didn't work on W10 either for you so I'm wondering what this could be.

I'll keep trying this but I've swapped the modes between hotkey and default, saved in each state multiple times and this has done nothing.

I've made sure that I'm up to date on Byond and internet explorer and I've swapped my settings back and forth multiple times and it does nothing. I can't figure out what it could be at this point.
